Kirby WikiProject

[edit]

I've formed a WikiProject dedicated to the improvement of Kirby articles. If you're interested in participating, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Kirby's Dream Land. Thank you. - A Link to the Past (talk) 00:37, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, neat! I love Kirby! - Smashman202 02:44, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To join, you must go to the participants page located here. - A Link to the Past (talk) 23:57, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, then what? - Smashman202 00:07, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, then do whatever. You can put Template:kirbyproj on talk pages without it (but when you do, put {{}} around JUST kirbyproj, keep the Template out), do some copyediting on Kirby articles, help find information on certain games' development, graphics, and sound, and *strongly encouraged* there are several discussions set up on the talk page which I ask everyone to participate in. This is mostly about creating criterias for various subjects. - A Link to the Past (talk) 00:12, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That would be {{kirbyproj}} :P JACOPLANE • 2007-03-5 10:31

Okay! ...I'll try to keep all this in mind while looking at the Kirby articles, among other things. - Smashman202 02:29, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize for the inactivity of the WikiProject. Several of the members are not quite so interested in working with each other if they're not in charge (Ivyna). - A Link to the Past (talk) 23:58, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, okay. I was wondering about that... - Smashman202 01:34, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I hoped that the project could remain civil, but any time I moved towards merging articles, Ivyna would PM me and curse me out. Not exactly a stable project, wouldn't you say? - A Link to the Past (talk) 02:12, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I guess not... But I'll help out whenever I can. - Smashman202 02:28, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I need some help creating the section for Creatures and races. Do you think you could help? Thanks in advance! Taric25 18:04, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I never actually played the game, but I'll help out as best as I can. - Smashman202 20:20, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. We're currently working on the list of locations. User:Guyinblack25 is helping out from the WikiProject Video games Cleanup department, and that user never actually played the game either, however, I think this will help you out. Here are some offline sources too, available online.

Hey, I downloaded the game onto my computer, and although it's fully of glitches and slows down from time to time, I can still play it, and now I know more about it. I can help now. - Smashman202 (talk) 15:15, 12 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:ResettiBrawl.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:ResettiBrawl.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 01:01, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, uh, okay... Thanks. - Smashman202 01:41, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Absurd humor

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Absurd humor, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

This article is devoid of meaningful content to the point that it cannot be taken seriously. Even as a stub, it should have some decent, referenced, verifiable content. As it stands, it is barely a dictionary definition. Seems to have been written as a joke.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of PINGAS

[edit]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages such as PINGAS, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of Absurd humor

[edit]

I have nominated Absurd humor, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Absurd humor. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Smashman202! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 14 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Hiroji Kiyotake - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 22:23, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

So I should add references to the article? How do I do that? - Smashman202 (talk) 00:06, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ryoji Yoshitomi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No interviews or biographies available to expand/source the article

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
