Speedy deletion nomination of Souraya Fas
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Souraya Fas, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. (See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Souraya Fas moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Souraya Fas, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Why you do undo my edit?
[edit]The information was entirely accurate and I provided my source for it. And you just undid it for no reason cited. So please explain why you undid my revision. Respectfully. SmashingThreePlates (talk) 01:18, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- It wasn't me who undid your edit to Nikki Haley, but the source you used, The Daily Beast, is of borderline acceptability (see WP:DAILYBEAST), and you are using it for an obviously controversial topic. If you cannot find a more respected source, perhaps this incident and her denial do not need to be in the article.-gadfium 01:32, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to post-1992 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
You have recently made edits related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. This is a standard message to inform you that articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles is a designated contentious topic. This message does not imply that there are any issues with your editing. For more information about the contentious topics system, please see Wikipedia:Contentious topics. Speedy deletion nomination of Hung Cao
[edit]Hello SmashingThreePlates,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hung Cao for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Laken Riley
[edit]I noticed you moved the page "Killing of Laken Riley" to "Murder of Laken Riley". This is a violation of Wikipedia:Naming_conventions_(violence_and_deaths). There has not been a murder conviction so we cannot call it "murder". Please review that and then move the page back to "Killing of Laken Riley". If you would like to discuss further, there is a discussion about the article's language on the Talk page. Thank you. Gottagotospace (talk) 12:50, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- It literally is a murder, simply based on the intent. You look at “Attack Type” and then it says “Murder by blunt trauma, kidnapping”—keyword: “Murder”. SmashingThreePlates (talk) 13:31, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Please go to the article's Talk page where there is a discussion about this. Gottagotospace (talk) 13:34, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for June 29
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2024 United States Senate election in Montana, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Tim Sheehy. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Speedy deletion nomination of Hung Cao
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hung Cao requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hung Cao. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
Hung Cao, again
[edit]Hi, please work on one of the multiple drafts if you want to write the article step-by-step, instead of drafting it in mainspace. As it has already been deleted through AfD, you will need to bring new sources showing notability if you want the article to stay in mainspace. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 06:00, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to 2024 United States Senate election in Virginia. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 21:02, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- You guys put it in the draft. So maybe can you remove it from the draft? Since there is content in it? SmashingThreePlates (talk) 21:56, 30 June 2024 (UTC)
- Given the outcome of the previous AfD, I think it is a wiser decision to keep it in draftspace and publish it through AfC instead. Chaotic Enby (talk · contribs) 22:12, 30 June 2024 (UTC)

Eric Hovde
[edit]There was a deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eric Hovde that Liz ended as redirect. The reason behind this is because Hovde wasn't noted enough at the time to justify an article. There may have been some canvassing that complicated the interpretation of the AfD results, but there was a bit of room for Hovdes' notability status to change...but, in my opinion, that's yet to happen. Let's be cautious wait until after the election. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 03:25, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
Stop Reverting My Edits!
[edit]They follow all Wikipedia rules. And he is literally a Senate nominee, so he gets his own his Wikipedia page. SmashingThreePlates (talk) 03:26, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- Actually, uploading articles about living people that are as poorly sourced as yours are is against biographies of living people policy. Basically, it exposes Hovde to defamation if someone can write a blog post talking about how much they dislike the guy (blogs typically don't undergo editorial review), and cite it just as you're citing the VoteSmart website (which also doesn't undergo editorial review). I doubt he'd appreciate that much. I dream of horses (Hoofprints) (Neigh at me) 03:37, 24 October 2024 (UTC)
- But this is not a defamation article, and none of the sources I took are defaming his character. I even got some of the information off his own website. I request that you stop deleting the page. Plus I was going to add more references, but I needed to make sure that I had the page saved first.
