- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Chennai International Airport, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. A person's personal twitter account is not a reliable source. Kindly provide a proper source while re-adding the destinations you blindly added back without addressing the issue. — LeoFrank Talk 11:28, 5 February 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Coimbatore International Airport, you may be blocked from editing. Jetstreamer Talk 02:28, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, Coimbatore to Singapore is a new destination, I may have not added a source, but why guys like you remove it, it's better to check the booking window in Airlines website before removing, as many Airlines didn't approve the news instantly, they make take some time to reveal a route to media, Hopefully you understand my concern 🥲 Sivanagu P (talk) 06:11, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
