I'll surely think about it, but I am still doubting myself, so I think it'll be better for to just do simple editing exercises and taking little step day by day, but for now is there any similar project on Bengali culture, Bengal or Bangladesh? I'll be great to know! thank you Shumon 169 (talk) 23:49, 21 May 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm MrOllie. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 23:57, 21 May 2023 (UTC)
- @MrOllie can you tell me which article are you talking about? Shumon 169 (talk) 00:09, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- You haven't added a source for any edit you've made. MrOllie (talk) 00:12, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- @MrOllie I'm sorry but respectfully saying, I think I have added a source on the Mishti doi article Shumon 169 (talk) 00:35, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- No, you didn't. MrOllie (talk) 00:42, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- @MrOllie Can you tell me how actually to add the citation, and follow the full way of doing it to fulfill your demand? Shumon 169 (talk) 00:44, 22 May 2023 (UTC)

Please refrain from making test edits to Wikipedia pages, such as the one you made with this edit to Mishti doi, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. -- Wesoree (talk·contribs) 13:04, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Wesoree thank you but I really don't understand how to use the sandbox yet.... Shumon 169 (talk) 22:07, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Mishti doi shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. —C.Fred (talk) 19:18, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- @C.Fred I'm not changing content I'm just trying to add the information which I got, I just don't know how to use the sand box yet which is why I'm continuously changing my edits cause I'm still trying to figure out how to maintain good quality editing. And mishti doi did originated in Bogra of Bangladesh and later brought to rest of the Bengal, how can it be an edit war? last time it was reverted because I didn't used a citation so I'm trying to use a citation but it's not working and because I continuously tried turn it back but I was not really able to. As a new editor I hope everyone will be a little less harsh and teach me rules kindly. I don't think that's too much to ask. I am trying my best. Shumon 169 (talk) 22:06, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- Then what you need to do is tell us, here or better at the article's talk page, where you found the information that mishti doi originated in Bogra. It needs to be a reliable source, not a food blog. —C.Fred (talk) 23:42, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
Sari
[edit]In the end, I've again deleted your extensive material about Jnanadanandini Devi and her sari innovation. There is already a mention of this in the list of Draping Styles, and anything more gives undue weight to this one style over any of the other (apparently over 80) styles of wearing a sari. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:07, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- @WikiDan61 Jnandanandini devi's Sari invocation performed a significance role in sari's history, it is really important and on the other there's no specific information about the Sari's true origin at all. The mordern day sari is really popular which has now spread even out side of the subcontinent, with the mordern day sari draping sari wouldn't had more ability to move freely, it is really important. List of sari draping doesn't talk about the most popular and common sari draping and the enovation of the concept of wearing it with blouse and petticoat as it is not a part of Indian subcontinent's culture at all and it was brought by Britishers and Jnandanandini devi helped Bengal to adopt it. Shumon 169 (talk) 13:15, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- @WikiDan61 And maybe you should be more respectful cause everyone has their own perspectives Shumon 169 (talk) 13:18, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- You'll need sources that specifically verify that Devi's contributions were so much more important than any other style. Your sources verify that she influenced sari styles, but not that her influence outweighed anyone else's in particular. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:25, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- @WikiDan61 oh actually I wanted add an citation but that leads to like deleting some one else's edit which I saw when I checked before publishing sir, but I don't really understand how to put it without damaging the article so I didn't added the source, I will surely come after I figure it out! thank you Shumon 169 (talk) 22:10, 22 May 2023 (UTC)
- If you need help with citations, please see Help:Citing sources. Citing a source should not affect anyone else's edits if you are careful about it. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:34, 23 May 2023 (UTC)
