Re:Bellary[edit]

The articles at new.wiki and te.wiki use that transliteration. If they're wrong, you should take it up at those wikipedias to get them to change them. The interwiki links you used do not exist. DHN (talk) 08:56, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Telugu script needed[edit]

Hi, can you add the Telugu script at Chaunk#Name in various languages? Thank you, Badagnani (talk) 18:05, 28 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Shreewiki! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 876 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Nagaraja Rao Havaldar - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 06:09, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Basavarajeshwari, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.hindu.com/2008/02/20/stories/2008022050910400.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 11:14, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have now deleted the copied information (to save the whole article from being deleted) and left the article as a very short stub. You could add the information provided in the obituary in The Hindu, but you need to rewrite it in your own words. PamD (talk) 12:40, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Bellary Raghava requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Reconsider! 11:19, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bellary[edit]

Hi. I refer to some of your reversions of my copyedit to this article as 'bad copyedit'. Some of my work is probably questionable. However the use of the word 'decimate' is not justified - decimation was the disciplinary execution of one in ten of its own soldiers by the Roman military. As for the word 'morphed' when a simpler word 'changed' expresses a clearer meaning in line with WP:UPE, it was hardly a bad copyedit. Thank you. Imc (talk) 21:22, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the copyedits, and no worrys. I referred to the bad links as 'bad copyedits'; I am not too concerned about 'decimate' or 'morphed'. Looks like there are superfluous 'articles' all over the page. See if you can add any more material to this page on my home town. Shree (talk) 01:24, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

April 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to Bellary. Doing so helps everyone understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Abhishek Talk to me 16:06, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Phir Kabhi[edit]

Any idea where the possible copy and paste is from? I couldn't find anything in searches but mirrors of Wikipedia. Please respond at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2011 May 11. Thanks.--NortyNort (Holla) 08:26, 21 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification[edit]

Hi. In Breakfast, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Poha (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:04, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wikify has been deprecated[edit]

Hi Shreewiki! Just a friendly note to let you know that {{Wikify}} has been deprecated in favor of more specific templates. Therefore, I have removed it from Nawab of Rajoli. Thanks, and happy new year! GoingBatty (talk) 13:14, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation[edit]

Your upload of File:Bellary-district.png or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Proposed deletion of Education in Bellary[edit]

The article Education in Bellary has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Poorly written list. The list contains several non-notable institutions and this content does not warrant a stand-alone article

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  LeoFrank  Talk 16:35, 10 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
