Disambiguation needed

[edit]

Spectronomy is sometimes used as a synonym to spectroscopy. You might need to make a disambiguation link for the spectronomy article. Also, please provide a reference for this, as I can't find this definition. Thanks, Pdcook (talk) 14:31, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by ghosts?

[edit]

In the spectronomy article, do you mean ghost as in the paranormal phenomenon or the natural optical phenomenon? I do not believe the article here has anything to do with the paranormal. Pdcook (talk) 21:06, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spectronomy

[edit]

I can't find this term anywhere in the references you've provided. Can you please show me where this term has been used before? If you cannot, then I will assume you have invented this term and I will propose this page for deletion. I hope you can help. Thanks, Pdcook (talk) 02:48, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Minor edits

[edit]

Please remember to mark your edits as minor if (and only if) they genuinely are minor edits (see Help:Minor edit). Marking a major change as a minor one is considered poor etiquette. The rule of thumb is that only an edit that consists solely of spelling corrections, formatting changes, or rearranging of text without modifying content should be flagged as a 'minor edit.' Thank you. Pdcook (talk) 14:07, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Spectronomy

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Spectronomy meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Spectronomy. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. I welcome your input Pdcook (talk) 21:34, 4 November 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Please post your support for deletion to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Spectronomy as well. Pdcook (talk) 00:23, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on שימרון עלית requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 22:20, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

Speedy deletion nomination of Shimron Elit

[edit]

Hello Shimron,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Shimron Elit for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Whispering 22:13, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shimron Elit requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Whispering 23:09, 4 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Shimron,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Extrell Corporation for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Versace1608 (Talk) 20:19, 14 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The file File:Israel & Iran Unite.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Orphaned userspace-only file.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~ Rob13Talk 14:52, 20 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
