Goa
Hi Shellwood
I wish to write about and do justice to this deceased soul Roqui Santan a native of Velim was a prominent Goan Thinker, Freedom Fighter, law maker, Parliamentarian and Goan Catholics . Following the end of Portuguese rule in 1961, Goa was placed under military administration headed by Lt. Gen. Candeth as Lt. Governor. But on 8 June 1962, military rule was replaced by civilian government when the Lt. Governor nominated an informal Consultative Council of 29 nominated members to assist him in the administration of the territory. Roqui Santan an influential member of the native Velliapura royal family Velim, Goa but was a reluctant royal opposed the nominations by Lt.Governor. Claming that all 29 members nominated to run administration were pro-Portuguese, on June 10th 1962 RoquiSantan went on fast unto death, “Satyagraha” infront of Historical Margao Municipality Bldg. Three days into his fast when thousands of Goans demonstrated, closed down streets and shouted slogans against the Lt.Governor Prime Minister Nehru intervened into this first ever post-liberation Goan unrest and persuaded him to end his Satyagraha with a promise to fulfill his demand. Mr. Nehru send his close friend Mr.Gopal Handoo to Velim, Goa to meet this Prince of Goa. Roqui Santan proposed early Democracy for Goans by marking Assembly and Parliamentary constituencies. After his meet with PM Nehru in New Delhi the mega process for democracy in Goa was started , the previous civil service was soon restored, immediately Goa's first polls were held on 9 December 1963 even though Goa did not belong to India and for this Shri RoquiSantan is popularly know as 'Father of Goan Democracy' . It was only after the Luso-Indo treaty that Goa became a part of India. That too the treaty was not in consultations with the Goans, the indigenous people. Goa celebrates "Liberation Day" on 19 December every year, which is also a state holiday. After the passing away of the 41st descendant 'RoquiSantan in January of 2007 his eldest son Sajayadeva was pronounced as the 42nd successor to this Kadamba history by their Coterie and confirmed by Goodwill of Royal States.
18th June, 1952 national new caught the attention of Prime Minister Nehru when Roqui Santan was gravely injured in Portuguese police shootout in Chandor in their attempt to declare independence of ‘Shasti’ Salcete by first capturing the Chandor police post. Speaking to international press Nehru warned the Portuguese of such human rights violations in Goa, immediately Roquisantan, a prominent member of the 'Velliapura royal family' was shifted to Ribandar Military hospital for better treatment for his punchered lungs, 9 bullet wounds all over his body, he suffered partial paralyzes recovered and was imprisoned for 18 years in Fort Aguada Jail for Treason.
RoquiSantan was elected twice as member of the Goa Legislative Assembly from this home constituency and was the recipient of prestigious 'Tambra Patra National Award' at the hands of PM Indira Gandhi for his outstanding role in Goa's freedom.

New Page Reviewer Newsletter
Backlog update:
- The new page backlog is currently at 12713 pages. Please consider reviewing even just a few pages each day! If everyone helps out, it will really put a dent in the backlog.
- Currently the backlog stretches back to March and some pages in the backlog have passed the 90 day Google index point. Please consider reviewing some of them!
Outreach and Invitations:
- If you know other editors with a good understanding of Wikipedia policy, invite them to join NPP by dropping the invitation template on their talk page with:
{{subst:NPR invite}}
. Adding more qualified reviewers will help with keeping the backlog manageable.
New Year New Page Review Drive
- A backlog drive is planned for the start of the year, beginning on January 1st and running until the end of the month. Unique prizes will be given in tiers for both the total number of reviews made, as well as the longest 'streak' maintained.
- Note: quality reviewing is extremely important, please do not sacrifice quality for quantity.
General project update:
- ACTRIAL has resulted in a significant increase in the quality of new submissions, with noticeably fewer CSD, PROD, and BLPPROD candidates in the new page feed. However, the majority of the backlog still dates back to before ACTRIAL started, so consider reviewing articles from the middle or back of the backlog.
- The NPP Browser can help you quickly find articles with topics that you prefer to review from within the backlog.
- To keep up with the latest conversation on New Pages Patrol or to ask questions, you can go to Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Reviewers and add it to your watchlist.

User:Diak4 opening RfC based on objection to "left-wing partisanship" in Alternative for Germany
Hey there. I just wanted to inform you that User:Diak4 has opened an RfC on the lede for Alternative for Germany [here that goes as follows: "I am concerned of the partisan nature of this sentence and it disrupting the neutrality of the page since it is making an allegation that many supporters of this party are racists, neo-nazi's, etc. I am even more particularly concerned with the sources being so biased against this party as well as being partisan, left-wing sites. I understand that this is not against WP:RS however it brings the opinion of these sites and states them as facts on the Alternative for Germany page." This is based on a previous discussion here:[1]. - Wilner (Speak to me) 12:07, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

Picture in criminality section on the psychopath article
I forgot to login, but was not trying to vandalize. I attempted to remove the picture on the criminality section of the psychopath article because it does not seem relevant enough to psychopathy. The picture was originally meant to illustrate the racial makeup of prisons in the US. It does not specifically relate to psychopathy and I don't think a random photo of a prison yard is needed to illustrate the point in this section.
These are all just my opinions, so it might as well be kept for now, but better photos may exist. I still thank you for patrolling wikipedia so fervently. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fullmetalass (talk • contribs) 10:56, 23 December 2017 (UTC)

New Years new page backlog drive
Announcing the NPP New Year Backlog Drive!
We have done amazing work so far in December to reduce the New Pages Feed backlog by over 3000 articles! Now is the time to capitalise on our momentum and help eliminate the backlog!
The backlog drive will begin on January 1st and run until January 29th. Prize tiers and other info can be found HERE.
Awards will be given in tiers in two categories:
- The total number of reviews completed for the month.
- The minimum weekly total maintained for all four weeks of the backlog drive.
NOTE: It is extremely important that we focus on quality reviewing. Despite our goal of reducing the backlog as much as possible, please do not rush while reviewing.

Tabarnia Article
Excuse me sir, but what I made was not vandalism. I removed all the copy and paste of that article. I left the only verificable information, as the rest of the article was an invention as a result of a trending topic on twitter. - @Filiprino: You are removing sourced content and replacing it with questionable content from one external link, that's the problem. Seek consensus on the talk page before making such actions in the future. Shellwood (talk) 18:58, 13 January 2018 (UTC)
- All the article is sourced from that external link. The rest of sources are ad-hoc information which are not related with it nor supported by any primary source. In fact, the section "Political Claims" uses that external link as a source. Filiprino (talk) 19:00, 13 January 2018 (UTC)

Hello Shellwood, I am currently confused by your decision to place a constructive warning on 2A02:C7F:9659:4500:61F7:8373:69A2:5426's talk page, because the page the IP address was editing was a Sandbox. Hi Sherwood,
I'm a noobie and didn't know I was to add a summary of my changes. I was removing one of the entries for prisoners housed as Carwell; Bernetta Willis is now a resident at Aliceville. Adding to FUBAR, when I attempted to correct the issue by adding a summary, the entire section of "other inmates" disappeared. When I go to "edit" again, I can see the data but when I'm looking at the live page it's not there. Tried to correct several times and realized Wiki editing may not be my thing. Please undo my edits and consider removing Ms. Willis from the list of residents of Carswell. question
Hi there! Quick question as you know loads more than me! I noticed your edit at Mélissa Alvès. The place of birth came straight from one of the standard reliable sources for this type of article.[3] But as you rightly pointed out, it's probably wrong. Kourou seems much more plausible. However, if you look at the other reliable source,[4] the place of birth is given as Remire-Montjoly. These 2 places are 2 completely different places within French Guyana. It's not that, for example, one includes the other. What do you normally do on Wikipedia when you encounter this type of situation? Thanks! Dr. Vogel (talk) 02:13, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- @DrVogel: Hello, if two or more equally reliable sources disagree it is usually standard to include them all in order to uphold a NPOV. Its a bit tricky in this case since its a BLP. I would suggest finding more information to verify the birthplace, since both sources cant be correct here. Shellwood (talk) 03:03, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Hi, thank you for taking the time to answer. I've found another more or less reliable source that gives Kourou as the hometown, not place of birth, so I've added that source to the article, but I've included both possibilities to maintain NPOV as you explained. Timothy Heller
Hello, my dear
I created the page Timothy Heller (singer) and it's getting vandalized. Timothy is a rape victim and the content I created it's getting erased daily by fans of the allegedly rapist, Melanie Martinez. Can you please PROTECT the page or something like that? I don't know how it works.
Mostly of the vandalism has been done by https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:Hwllen and https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:2600:1702:B60:A530:69CF:B549:3831:A266

Dear Shellwood, I have been trying to edit the wikipedia page of Sikkim Cricket Association as i found that there are many mistakes in it and also i tried to upload the logo of the association but u deleted it. The story opens with the killing of Wales' family and the appearance of Bill Anderson, who recruits him into his irregular force.
Bill Anderson was killled in October 1864 long before "the final days of the Civil War." In any case there would be no time for Wales to ride north to Missouri and gain the experience and reputation as a hardened buckwacker before the surrender of Lee. 86.165.186.197 (talk) 23:24, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

My edit to Ruff Trigger: The Vanocore Conspiracy
I removed where someone had put in the summary (or at least part of the summary) to the movie Eraserhead as the plot of the game. I realise that it probably looked a lot like just some random anonymous vandal edit. Fear the Walking Dead
The changes you reverted were typical copyedit - completing sentences, removing periods from fragments, and correcting spelling. Maybe you should read MOS before reverting, especially when reverting only because you do not like the changes. 76.189.141.88 (talk) 12:21, 11 March 2018 (UTC)

Heather Wilde
Shellwood,
I have researched Heather Wilde and NINE different articles from the early 1940s (including the Los Angeles Times) refer to her as either a British or an English actress. She is not an Amerian actress even though she was in American films. 97.95.151.209 (talk) 03:09, 13 March 2018 (UTC)Mellie
- Then use your NINE sources when making changes. Unsourced content risks getting removed, we need to verify things here. Shellwood (talk) 03:13, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

"Vandalism" on Damiere Byrd page
What part looked like "vandalism?" The direct in-game quote of his head coach? — Preceding unsigned comment added by GreatZen (talk • contribs) 20:51, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Check that, I see you reverted a later edit describing the most interesting and arguably most important play of his 5-year career (which was also his first career touchdown). What about that is vandalism?
I see you also reverted the edit of his current contract status?
- @GreatZen:This part: [5]. Shellwood (talk) 20:54, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Sorry, I think that's pointing at a later revision than the one you intend. Once I found out, it was flagging the word "ass" (taken from a direct quote, on video, made by his head coach during the official review) I took it out and made subsequent edits-- which were reverted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GreatZen (talk • contribs) 21:00, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- @GreatZen: Nope the edit above was not constructive and was therefore reverted. Shellwood (talk) 21:03, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Can you specifically say what's "not constructive" about adding that Byrd was tendered by the Panthers? — Preceding unsigned comment added by GreatZen (talk • contribs) 21:05, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- @GreatZen: Look at the link above and see how the article looked like after your edits and compare it to now. You removed large parts of content(including the lead section), references and categories. Shellwood (talk) 21:09, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

Help improving edits to "Roman History"
I noticed the article on Roman History is generally quite strong except for the intro section which is fairly incoherent and incomplete. For example, the intro says nothing about the Roman Republic but does include several random unsourced factoids that don't belong in an introduction. I attempted to improve it and make it more consistent with other articles such as the entry on Greek history. Please compare the formatting of my proposed changes to the formatting of the intro on that page. I recognize that my edit was a major departure and so I am not surprised that you undid it. However, my changes are accurate and I believe, a better introduction. They also do not delete anything that isn't covered elsewhere in the article. Therefore, I'm inclined to add the changes back, but I wanted to mention my concerns here first. At the end of the day, I think the article is stronger with my changes. Thoughts? JA1776 (talk) 17:24, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
- @JA1776: Hi and thanks for your message. I have taken time to compare the different versions and both seem fine, the only problematic thing I can come up with is that your verison remove some sourced contnent, would it be an alternative to add some short description about the Roman Republic in the current version? But yet again this is just me, some other editors might object but I wont mind you changing it back. Shellwood (talk) 18:10, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Shellwood: Thanks for the response and the review. Good point on some of the source material being removed. I will revert the change but add the sourced material back in and see if anyone else objects. JA1776 (talk) 18:35, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Hello! Why is the article on https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Speaker_of_the_County_Assembly_of_Machakos taking long to be taken out of draft? Kenyaboystar (talk) 15:13, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Kenyaboystar: Wikipedia is run by volunteers and there is no deadline for the projects here. Thats why things might take time. Shellwood (talk) 15:17, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
- @Shellwood:
How to you remove a redirect from a page? For example Machakos County is different from Machakos or Governor of Machakos. For now it's the same thing and I think it's an error by whoever authorized the redirect
- @Kenyaboystar: Governor of Machakos was an unsourced stub and was therefore redirected to Machakos County. You can undo redirects but it is wise to try and reach a consensus before making such actions. Shellwood (talk) 20:55, 25 March 2018 (UTC)
@Shellwood: just remove it because the redirect is more unsourced than the prior... One is an office and the other is a geographical location. So the redirect does not serve the purpose.
