Speedy deletion nomination of PVDasm
[edit]Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. - Please see our guide to writing an article. We don't include articles in the encyclopedia just because someone wants them. The subject has to be notable and the information in it has to be verifiable. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 19:44, 13 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on PVDasm requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. A tag has been placed on PVDasm, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. - not sure what is the issue exactly? promotion of what? a project that was made in 2000? and it's a MIT open source on github? what kind of promotion are we talking about? it's a just a page about a free open source disassembler that has been developed in the past. there is no money involved, getting paid or any of the sort. Shanytc (talk) 08:35, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- Developed by you, yes? That's why you want everyone to know about it. It's a conflict of interest, which you haven't declared, and it was written like an advert. Deb (talk) 09:12, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- yes, in 2000. and no, no adverb of any kind. i am not looking into doing any kind of advertisement. just a regular entry on wiki. if there are some words/phrases which you think are related to adverb please let me know so it can be rephrased. the porpus of the entry was purely archival and information on wiki.
- excuse me if it sounded advertiseable. i assure you i have no intentions for it. i do not care about stars and fame on github. the project is educational as well. Shanytc (talk) 09:27, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- Have you even read the guidelines on notability and the neutral point of view policy? You won't get very far unless you do. Deb (talk) 17:14, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- will do. And rewrite the parts which seems to be biased. 85.130.176.33 (talk) 17:16, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
