[edit]There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Medeis (talk • contribs)
- Hi, SF00, I notified you of the discussion because you were a participant in the thread, not because of anything "wrong" with your comment per se. The ANI guidelines suggest people involved in an issue be notified, that is all. BTW, have you seen Fiona Shaw play Richard II? It's a great production, if you can get your hands on a copy. μηδείς (talk) 17:43, 29 January 2016 (UTC)
Peyton List (adult actress) listed at Redirects for discussion
[edit]An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Peyton List (adult actress). Since you had some involvement with the Peyton List (adult actress) redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion if you have not already done so. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!
[edit]Hello, ShakespeareFan00. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Self-requested block
[edit]Hi, per Special:Diff/771977606 I have blocked this account for seven days effective immediately. I have not revoked your ability to edit your talk page or send emails -- There'sNoTime (to explain) 16:17, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- As a result of your WP:AN comments, User:PrimeFac blocked you indefinitely. However, several people believe that you weren't requesting a block at this time, and as I agree with them, I've lifted the block. Of course, if at some point you believe that a block is sadly necessary, please request it; hopefully nobody will interpret such a thing as wheel-warring, given the (un)block summaries and this message. Weird categories for User:ShakespeareFan00/furme.js
[edit]Your .js page is actually in the categories whose tags the scripts can add. See Wikipedia:Village pump (technical)#Categories for .js pages for a diagnosis and potential fixes. DMacks (talk) 02:53, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Cosmetic edits
[edit]Edits such as [1] cause no change to the rendering of the page and in that sense are purely cosmetic. That kind of change can be combined with more significant edits, but it should not be done on its own. If you look at the list at [2], you will see that WCW "error" 64, like many, is marked as "cosmetic" in the table. One can't just run that error on its own without looking at each edit individually to see if any more significant change was made. — Carl (CBM · talk) 19:31, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- Since my comment, you have made several more such edits, such as [3] [4] [5]. Please stop. — Carl (CBM · talk) 19:37, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- Please see [6]. — Carl (CBM · talk) 19:44, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- Noted, owing to your concerns, an ARBCOM ruling which has been pointed, and that I've lost the trust of the community. I will be making no further edits to Wikipedia for some time.
Goodbye.
ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 20:07, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- I commented at ANI and thought I should leave it here too. Did you learn from this? WIll you ever do this again? If you learned from it and you won't do it again, move on and keep editing. You don't need to quit editing over this. ~ GB fan 20:27, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- In answer to your points.
- Yes, definitely.
- Hopefully I will endevour not to (or at least to not do so without a clear consensus from the rest of the community or admins.)
- Whether something like this will occur again depends on whether or not certain other routine editing tasks would be seen in the same light.ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 20:38, 23 May 2017 (UTC)
- Everyone makes mistakes. Sometimes quite bold and spectacular mistakes. As long as you've learned from the event, then there's no reason for ritual scourging of your flesh and scarlet letters. Take this advice as both a operator of Automated edits and as someone who's been brought before the public shaming wall. Hasteur (talk) 02:31, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Please don't get discouraged by CBM who keeps haunting people for edits like these. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:54, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Note that Carl intentionally makes wikisyntax harder for newcomers [7], a thing that may discourage people from editing in Wikipedia. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:57, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
- Magioladitis, is the sniping really necessary? If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all. Primefac (talk) 15:00, 26 May 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)
- Not on my talk page please, if there's a conduct concern about another user, raise it in appropriate way. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 15:02, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
Primefac The same way Carl et al. claim that these edit may hide vandalism I say that these edits may discourage people unfamiliar with wikicode. My experience comes from edit-a-thons I 've been to. -- Magioladitis (talk) 15:02, 26 May 2017 (UTC)
WHOT RDS.png
[edit]Hi ShakespeareFan00. I got the HD Radio and RDS Screenshots Approved through Wikiproject Radio Stations https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Radio_Stations to be used on the articles because I am the copyright holder of the pictures. Please Take down the discussion. They are on all the Pittsburgh Radio Pages and surrounding areas where I can get a signal of the station. Bbabybear02 (talk) 14:45, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 14:48, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
I do see there is a duplicate. I will delete the 2nd one and keep the original. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Bbabybear02 (talk) 14:51, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
File PROD implemented
[edit]Hello. Just to let you know, per RfC at WT:PROD, {{subst:proposed deletion}} (alternatively, {{subst:prod}}) now applies to "File:" namespace. You can use Twinkle to PROD a file or add a template manually. --George Ho (talk) 00:36, 28 May 2017 (UTC)

The Wittgensteins 1890.jpg
[edit]Greetings, I'd like to note that File:The Wittgensteins 1890.jpg isn't a "shadows commons" situation, it's a case of the files being identical. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 19:33, 8 June 2017 (UTC)
Suicide and Life Threatening Behavior and its logo...
[edit]Dearest Shakespeare, I'm not a Native English Speaking contributor... I uploaded Suicide and Life Threatening Behavior Journal's Logo. I intended to add it to the Infobox, but this seems not possible on WP:en, though it's possible on WP;fr (have a look there). So, I give up. This logo can be deleted. Have a nice day, --Pierrette13 (talk) 09:27, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- Could you rename the page Suicide and Life-Threatening Behavior with the hyphen? Thank you ? --Pierrette13 (talk) 09:35, 11 June 2017 (UTC)
- Pierrette13, the image isn't going to be deleted, it's perfectly acceptable. As for the title, I've renamed the page. Primefac (talk) 20:40, 11 June 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Orphaned non-free image File:University of Nottingham -Official Logo.png
[edit]I'm confused about the prompt you placed on my talk page. The logo is in use on the Wikipedia page https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/University_of_Nottingham - so the statement that "the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia" is false.
How do I prevent its deletion?
David Aldred (talk) 11:03, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your response - the PNG can go - I've no idea now why I uploaded both! David Aldred (talk) 11:09, 10 July 2017 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:Photo of Joan Steiner.jpg

Replace image with free version before deleting it
[edit]You listed File:QS mark.jpg for deletion here: Wikipedia:Files_for_discussion/2017_May_28#File:QS_mark.jpg, because it is also on Commons under a free license. You should have replaced the use of the file with the Commons version first. --Apoc2400 (talk) 09:17, 19 July 2017 (UTC)
Jorgen Slots
[edit]You seem to have marked the pic in Jorgen Slots for deletion unless verification can be made of the photo's origin. I received it from Slots himself with permission to post for free and all purpose use, and posted this on the pic page. The last time something like this happened, I sent an OTRS request and it ran out and the pic was deleted -- I think they were generally backed up and couldn't get to the pic in time for the 8 day deadline. Please advise. DRosenbach (Talk | Contribs) 22:36, 1 August 2017 (UTC)

Do some research
[edit]Why the hell are you nominating a pamphlet cover from 1909 for deletion? Carrite (talk) 15:15, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not, I was placing it up for discussion as I think it was actually PD. Please read what's actually put in a discussion, before firing off comments about needing to do more research. It's File for DISCUSSION, not deletion. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 15:17, 5 August 2017 (UTC)
Haim Shapira image
[edit]Hi ShakespeareFan00, I've added the source to the Haim Shapira image designating him as the author and source. He provided me with this photo and confirmed that it can be used. Is that sufficient or perhaps he can email you directly? Best, Knightleap — Preceding unsigned comment added by Knightleap (talk • contribs) 01:45, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
- Please read and follow the instructions at WP:DCP and WP:COPYREQ in order to provide verification of permission. E-mailing me directly would not be appropriate. ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 08:03, 8 August 2017 (UTC)
Non-free reduce on images marked no reduce
[edit]Hi, can you please not add {{Non-free reduce}} to pages marked with {{Non-free no reduce}}, as you did at File:Discworld mud drum.PNG? That would have made it the third time that image has been destroyed by overeager bot handlers. Vashti (talk) 15:35, 8 August 2017 (UTC)

You recently sent me
[edit]a list of images that were missing information or sources, or both, mostly, I think, from 2004 and 2005. A long time ago. Anyway I have updated them all, they were all my images, and now probably you will stumble across more and I can deal with them. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 16:56, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- Okay I found the "media by uploader" field, do I just type "yes" after it, or do I need to put it inside the brackets? Carptrash (talk) 17:09, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- I NEVER deal with template parameters. Pretty scary after 13 years, but true. Carptrash (talk) 17:38, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- I updated the relevant calls for you :) ShakespeareFan00 (talk) 17:40, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- I saw, thanks. I am not a very computer literate editor, almost a luddite, and almost never go (as I think of it) behind the curtain. But I do take direction fairly well. Carptrash (talk) 17:44, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
Could you consider removing the {{Keep local}} tag on that image? The image is now available on Commons and the original deletion rationale no longer applies; it's in the public domain and not just reliant on (non-existent) FoP. ~ Rob13Talk 10:44, 22 September 2017 (UTC)
