Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Louise Borgia, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Federico Gonzaga. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Preview – Consolidate – Summarize

[edit]

Hello- Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:

  • Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
    • The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
  • Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).

Also, please try to provide a more descriptive summary than simply "added content". Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 13:36, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Edward Lee, 1st Earl of Lichfield, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page William III.

(Opt-out instructions.) --DPL bot (talk) 07:56, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

When using a period of time as an adjective, hyphens are necessary. So "four year old" and "four-year old" are incorrect while "four-year-old" is correct. In your editing in this article you have written it incorrectly. Please use hyphens correctly. Thank you. Jellysandwich0 (talk) 01:39, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... Sforza Maria Sforza The subject of the article has been entered and shows up as a woman and referred to as a duchess but it is a man with a female name... I have been unable to find out how to change this. Sfar13 (talk) 12:07, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Helped. Sforza Maria Sforza is described as a man and a duke. The middle name "Maria", widely used as a given name for women, is not uncommon as a middle name for men in some countries. Did this answer your question? Sam Sailor 13:16, 25 October 2024 (UTC) (please ping on reply)[reply]
No. It doesnt help me at all. I created this article and for some reason its been classified as belonging to the Womens history project also when you type in his name it comes up under "duchess of Milan" Sfar13 (talk) 14:08, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can see that you yourself added a {{Short description|Duchess of Milan (1425–1468)}} to the article in this edit. You can simply edit it. As for placing the article in WP:WHIST, that was done by Ipigott; I'm sure he will drop by whenever he has a moment and talk to you about it. Sam Sailor 14:28, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to see this has been sorted out. I should have been more careful before adding Women's History. Thanks for the alert.--Ipigott (talk) 15:33, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Its been fixed I was attempting to add an infobox and copied the one from "Bianca Maria Visconti" and I changed the info in it but no infobox turned up and then I forgot about it so a bit perplexed by the "Womens history" class 😅 Sfar13 (talk) 16:41, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop posting citations that go to google.se & use hl=sv

[edit]

Here is a recent URL in a citation that you added:

https://books.google.se/books?id=2yhQBwAAQBAJ&pg=PA61&dq=%22matteo+visconti%22+necromancy&hl=sv&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&source=gb_mobile_search&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjptaHx0tKJAxX1HRAIHV_LO2UQ6AF6BAgLEAM#v=onepage&q=%22matteo%20visconti%22%20necromancy&f=false}}

Please note that your are editing English Wikipedia & that the links should not go to books.google.se (Swedish Google Books) nor have a parameter/value pair of hl=sv that sets the interface language to Swedish (sv). The links should instead be going to books.google.com (an English version of Google Books) & have a parameter/value pair of hl=en that sets the interface language to English (en).

The correctly coded URL should look like this:

https://books.google.com/books?id=2yhQBwAAQBAJ&pg=PA61&dq=%22matteo+visconti%22+necromancy&hl=en&newbks=1&newbks_redir=0&source=gb_mobile_search&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjptaHx0tKJAxX1HRAIHV_LO2UQ6AF6BAgLEAM#v=onepage&q=%22matteo%20visconti%22%20necromancy&f=false

Please adjust your citations accordingly. Peaceray (talk) 23:27, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please go back & fix your citations before you post any new ones! Peaceray (talk) 23:29, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please note that as per MOS:REFPUNCT, ref tags go after puctuation (excepting a right parenthesis or a dash), not before. Please correct these as well. Peaceray (talk) 23:50, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I had no idea it made a difference. Thanks for telling me I will correct it. Sfar13 (talk) 01:55, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
