Anton Singov AFD
You want to delete the Anton Singov article because of:
"Delete - Lack of reliable, third party sources. Notability not established. (Additionally, the article, minus the small intro, seems to be nothing more than a place to list off all these non-notable "medals" he's won...)".
"non-notable "medals" he's won".... you are totally screwy in the head. Many of these "non-notable "medals"" are worth thousands of dollars each. I love it how you even put "medals" in quotation marks, like as if to question whether they should even be called medals. They are medals and cups and large cheques won in televised events - televised on nationally viewable satellite on the German channel Giga. He's won over $100,000 in Quake.
Do you even realize that using "non-notable" there is a CIRCULAR ARGUMENT? He's not notable because the medals he won are non-notable. durrrrrr.....
"medals", "medals", you are a dummy. Anonywiki (talk) 22:18, 12 December 2011 (UTC)

Wow, so much chaos on my talk page. Thank you for finding the conversation, Salvidrim.
To summarize, that article was one of many articles deleted in a wave of like 10-20 of them a month or so ago. They were all non-notable electronic sports players. Because e-sports don't get much coverage in reliable sources virtually all of them were deleted at AFD. I didn't remember this one in particular right away because they all kind of blurred together. Anyways, between the lack of sources, and the fact that it seemed like little more than a place to promote all this persons triumphs and awards and whatnot, I !voted delete, as did others, and it was deleted by an admin.
As far as:
- Why this person is complaining now, a month and a half after the fact.
- Why did this person did not participate.
- Why this person is so worked up on my comments when others said very similar things, and an Admin is the one who actually deleted it.
I have no clue... Sergecross73 msg me 01:11, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Re:Ply
About what you said: If you, theoretically, made an account on Super Mario Wiki and said Mario is 200 years old, you would get a Warning and your edit would be reverted. Also, what are we going to do about this issue? It is real E3 footage, but any videos of it are on YouTube! 76.120.127.225 (talk) 08:01, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- That is utterly incorrect; Either you're arguing in bad faith or completely inapt with Google. Here's a few links to the video from mostly reliable sources: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. A few of those also have editorial commentary about the video. Salvidrim! 09:06, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- Wait a hellish—did you just say 200 years old? -017Bluefield (talk) 09:21, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- Please try to make sense, or stay away from discussions in which you have no intention of contributing contructively. Salvidrim! 09:29, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- Player17, For what it's worth, my argument for why other wiki's aren't considered reliable sources, is because anyone can make changes, without editorial oversight or fact checking. My specific example was that someone could claim something outlandish, like that Mario was 200 years old, and then cite it as a source. It was just a random example.
- 76.120.127.225 - It's as Salvidrim says, the video is posted in any number of other areas. That's typically the case when you're dealing with something as mainstream as Mario. Sergecross73 msg me 13:26, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Universal Acclaim RfC
According to the rules of RfC, all editors are welcome to add their viewpoint. So yes you're certainly allowed to comment. I think I'll stay out of it for a little while, though, until Flyingnarb has a chance to respond. The RfC process is intended to develop consensus and I don't want to excite Flyingnarb unduly. Sadly I'm not very confident that he'll change his position regardless of my holding back but this is nothing more than a time setback. Once the RfC expires (30 days) or once it reaches an impasse then we can find an uninvolved editor in good standing to determine if a consensus has been reached, and the determination for consensus has to do with argument based on Wikipolicy so I think a good solution will be achieved. I've written a note to the NPOV noticeboard as well to see if I can get more people in on the commenting. Cheers, -Thibbs (talk) 00:15, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- Out of sheer curiosity, mind linking the RfC? I have no involvement and don't plan on getting involved, I just want to read. Salvidrim! 00:19, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hah. Sure. :) -Thibbs (talk) 00:56, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- @Salvidrim - It's right here. Feel free to join in if you change your mind.
- @Thibbs - Thanks. Wasn't sure on the expectations, I've been part of RfC's before, but only as a random passerby, not an "involved party" like this. I think I'll give my 2 cents, and then be done, no more arguing with Flyingnarb. Sergecross73 msg me 00:59, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
- Well well, whaddya know, I've actually contributed to the pre-RfC discussion! However I don't feel strongly at all one way or the other about the argument itself (my comments pertaining more to the attitude of one party), thus I will not take part in the RfC. :) Salvidrim! 01:03, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
Sonic 06
Thanks for sending me the info! I will try to fix up as much as I can. Some stuff was mere typos such as the Sonic Free Riders thing (I meant to put "solely" on it). As for the resources, I will try to find as much as I can. But for the stuff I know, I will keep. Please stop undoing my work until I am finished. - It's not a matter of "letting you finish", there are fundamental issues with virtually all of the information you're trying to add to Sonic the Hedgehog (2006 video game), as I've written on your talk page and my edit summaries. Please read WP:VERIFY - it's not a matter of the stuff "you know", you need to provide sources for this information when you add it, not sometime later. And this isn't addressing the fundamental errors in your information either. (Your Sonic Free Riders trivia isn't true in any respect, due to the existence of Sonic Generations being on for PS3 and 360, for instance.) Please stop this. Disambiguation link notification
Hi. When you recently edited Sonic the Hedgehog (2006 video game), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mario & Sonic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

EVO 2
Hi. I need to talk about the generation of the EVO 2. Every console out there should be in a generation obviously, so we can't leave it there and say 'generation unknown'. Here are reasons why it is in the 8th gen.:
- It will come next year: the same time as the Wii U will
- 2012 is one year after the Nintendo 3DS (which is 8th gen.)
- Its predecessor, EVO Smart Console, is in the 7th gen., so now, the successor, is of course 8th
This clearly shows, it's an 8th gen console! And oh, we can't just leave the generation blank can we? Every system has an era...
Reply on my talk please --Gaming&Computing (talk) 15:52, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- It's simple. Provide a reliable source calling it 8th gen. Otherwise, it should not be listed as such. It has been challenged, and so it is your burden to provide a source. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 15:56, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
But think about the year of release. 2012, a year after 3DS, same time as PSVita and Wii U. Clearly it must be 8th gen.
This is like saying: PS4 is coming out in 2014, but due to no generation source, it will not be in the 8th. It sounds stupid right? The EVO 2 is the same. --Gaming&Computing (talk) 16:03, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

lol. It was an example, not real! That's why I said this is like saying.--Gaming&Computing (talk) 16:14, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- I don't understand. What was the point of providing an irrelevant example then? Sergecross73 msg me 16:16, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
To show an example. By the way, please answer this question: when PS4 has been revealed etc., but there is no source claiming it to be part of any gen, what are you going to do?--Gaming&Computing (talk) 16:19, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Not add it until there's a source. Please read WP:VERIFY. Chances are though, it wouldn't take hardly any time to find such a source, as Sony and the Playstation Brand is much more widely accepted and viewed as a video game system in part of the generations, and thus, such a source would pop up relatively quickly. Sergecross73 msg me 16:21, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

- (talk page stalker)I looked at the source, and it appears to be a self-published blog, which generally isn't considered a reliable source for our purposes. --McDoobAU93 16:30, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Consensus was reached months ago, in this discussion. Just WP:DROPIT and move on. Salvidrim! 17:01, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
It's as McDoob and Salvidrim have said, that's not a reliable source, and there's consensus in that discussion that it really shouldn't be included. consensus can change, but as of right now, it shouldn't be considered 8th gen... (Thanks for that link, Salvidrim, I thought I remembered it, but didn't remember where we had it...) Sergecross73 msg me 20:10, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- To be honest, I do believe that any logical analysis can only lead to believe EVO 2 is indeed 8th Gen, but of course, it needs to be verifiable, not true. Salvidrim! 20:18, 21 December 2011 (UTC)
- Conversely, I disagree with it conceptually. I don't think we need to list off every little thing that plays video games as part of the "generation". The 7th gen article got pretty out of control when someone (I believe the same user) tried to list off every single Chinese knockoff, cell phone, etc that could play a video game. (It's been cleaned up since.) But regardless, right now there's neither the sources, or the consensus, needed. Sergecross73 msg me 20:25, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Storm Corrosion and sources
Apologies if I could have just replied to the message you put on my page. I'm not very good with Wikipedia. Ha Ha.
Thanks for the explanations. Much appreciated. I understand now why there are risks with using YouTube videos but I still think they're reliable sources of information. There's a trend happening with music journalism right now where a higher and higher percentage of interviews are simply being done as videos and posted online, so I think it's kind of unrealistic not to use them. And really... What are the chances that someone doctored an interview with Mikael Akerfeldt? Ha Ha.
Also, with the Blabbermouth thing... Blabbermouth doesn't actually conduct interviews. They literally find interviews and videos on the internet, link to them and quote them - literally the exact same thing that I did in the Storm Corrosion article. Blabbermouth is basically a more officially run Wikipedia. I highly doubt Blabbermouth owns any of those videos.
I think that I just disagree with a lot of Wikipedia's policies. Thanks for the help! Will try and find some better sources soon. Ktmartell (talk) 15:42, 28 January 2012 (UTC)

A link
Hi there. I now understand we can't put the EVO 2 on the eighth gen article. But there's a big problem; there is NO link to the EVO 2 article!
Thatswhy, there have not been many edits: that's because the article is not popular, and THAT's because the article has no link.
We need at least one article (about gaming, and/or generations) that links to the EVO 2 page.
--Gaming&Computing (talk) 14:10, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
- EVO 2 has plenty of links pointing to it, as you can see here. In fact, this template links to it, so all of the articles it is transcluded on also does. Salvidrim! 14:27, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

- I don't care if it has 5 links to it, or 500, that's not a relevant argument for or against why it would belong in that article. Sergecross73 msg me 23:16, 30 January 2012 (UTC)

Well, looks like Salvidrim answered it better than I would have. I would have just told you that it's not popular because this tech device doesn't seem to be very popular, and thus doesn't get a ton of media coverage for sources, or much interest from editors. As Salvidrim's link shows, there are plenty of articles linked to it, so it's probably not your hypothesis... Sergecross73 msg me 16:22, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

- Good luck, I guess. Sonic seems to have quite a large following when it comes to fanfics and the like, which is not something I've come across much around Mario... :) Salvidrim! 02:40, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- Indeed. I love Sonic, but because I find the games fun, and he was my favorite as a child. But I cannot understand much of the fanbase, who wastes time arguing over some sort of mythical "canon" out of a series that clearly is not about story, or spew out all sort of unimportant, minute details that don't mean anything to most people. Or write ridiculous fanfics. You're lucky, much of the Mario fanbase is not really like that... Sergecross73 msg me 02:48, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

So we have Thestickman2 (who should be reported to WP:UFAA as an impersonator anyway) and now Rawapples (talk · contribs). I'm thinking.. WP:SPI? Яehevkor ✉ 18:42, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
- UFAA, probably, yeah. But will they do anything at SPI? It's not like they're voting as separate people in AFD's or using it to edit war, or block evading. In fact, they seem to mostly just be spamming each other's talk pages, for whatever reason. I guess that's not constructive either though. (I'm not doubting you, legitimately wondering. If you think they'd do something, it'd probably be a good idea.) Sergecross73 msg me 20:26, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
It was just a little joke... How can I delete it anyway Thestickman2 (talk) 20:35, 3 March 2012 (UTC) -GREGSTER
- If you're talking about the posts, just delete what you said and save the changes. If you're talking about the account, they're not typically deleted, you just stop using it. Sergecross73 msg me 20:44, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 8
Hi. When you recently edited Sonic Crackers, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Isometric and Elasticity (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

i was too fast, sorry ; i will open the live album page instead - kernitou talk 14:47, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- I'm not sure if you're referring to listing his live album twice, or the fact that you erased info on his third studio album to put info in about his live album, when in fact they are two separate things, but either way, as long as you understand now, it's fine. - yeah, i didn't see there was already a (red) link (and, listening to it, just discovered that it was a live album, gulp) : i opened the first draft of the article Catalog / Preserve / Amass - kernitou talk 15:25, 8 March 2012 (UTC)
- I will try to help you with it, but the reason I didn't attempt to make the article myself was because I feared it may not meet the WP:GNG or WP:NALBUMS. Still, I'll do what I can... Sergecross73 msg me 16:15, 8 March 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry
I'm sorry. I just wanted to change it to keep in recentness. All I've done to this article is add and give. And that's what I'm trying to do. I'm well over the contribution side like you. I've been on Wikipedia since the very, very begining. So, I am just sorry. I am trying to be good editor, keep the article to recentness, I'm member of Project Rock Music and I am trying to do the best I can. My deeds speak for themselves. Sorry for the unresponsiveness, however I have a lot of things on my mind and didn't work it out on your side. I made some changes on Nickelback article and if you don't like it, you can wrap it out and disagree and revert. I am trying to prevent myself from entering in three-edit wars. I wish you nothing but the best in future endavours.
- Respect: The Mad Hatter (talk) 19:22, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I've actually noticed what you're saying, and that's what leads me to be all the more confused. You've edited for a long time, and are part of a music-related Wikiproject. So you obviously know removing sourced information w/o discussion or edit summary is frowned upon. (Through your talk page, I see you were accused of doing similar actions at Velvet Revolver as well.)
- But I won't lecture your further. I'm sorry that you've got a lot going on, and I wish you well as well. Best of luck with all you've got going on. Sergecross73 msg me 20:55, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
Well, the thing with Velvet Revolver is a bit more picky, since I want a different structure and a bit exclusionist approach in editing. That's what I maintain on everything. I don't mind things being sourced, but you are right that edit summary is very much needed. I just think that articles can be a lot shorter and vibrant, that's why I cut... a lot. That's what I did on Velvet Revolver. I would look further into Velvet Revolver since I have completely different vision of the article.

- Yeah, I admit, I only skimmed through that discussion quickly, I haven't really worked on that article at all. I had just noticed his complaint was the same as mine, but I shouldn't take sides. Sergecross73 msg me 01:38, 31 March 2012 (UTC)

I don't pay much attention to Nickelback articles, but you seem to, and you must be able to recognize this guy by now. When he pops back up, let me know, and I'll block his new account.—Kww(talk) 21:22, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for dealing with him! I had suspected sockpuppetry, but just hadn't decided to pursue SPI or ANI or anything yet. I was getting pretty close though. Yeah, I'm not really a Nickelback fan or anything, but it tends to be one of those articles that is just a magnet for fans to gush about how great they are and turn it into a real POV-pushing mess. So I've gotten in the habit of watching over it. I appreciate your help, now and in the future. Sergecross73 msg me 01:35, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for reverting those edits
Thanks for reverting the genre-based edits performed at Weather Systems (Anathema album) and We're Here Because We're Here. I don't know if you're aware, but the #90 anonymous user is a serial genre editor that changes IPs on a possibly daily basis. The person has been a source of frustration for me for a while, because of the pervasive IP hopping and the editing activity, which is almost solely focused on changing the infobox genre selections. I am planning on reporting him or her later, as there will be more information there; I'll give you a link when this happens. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 05:36, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
- If you want to supply any commentary about this user, or just see what is going on with him/her, feel free to look here. That is the link I told I would give you in the previous post. Thanks. Backtable Speak to meconcerning my deeds. 08:15, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
- Oh wow, I hadn't realized how much of a problem this IP has been. Glad to help though, I know how you feel, I'm getting increasingly irritated by IPs, and User:Metalvayne, and their constant genre changing without source or explanation. Sergecross73 msg me 16:49, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
