Reasons for reverting.

[edit]

I reverted the edit at That Girl (Trend) for a number of reasons. First external links should not be put in the body of an article. Second, it added references non-reliable sources like Buzzfeed. Third, in contained subjective comparisons of brands, which seem largely irrelevant to the article. TornadoLGS (talk) 03:32, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Although I understand what is meant by "Buzzfeed is unreliable", I still think the video mentioned is important as it explains how K Beauty came into North America.
Linking brands is also essential here as they are staples of the trend, it does not have for goal to give free publicity. Hope this helps! SelenaRuiz (talk) 03:41, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If a brand had a Wikipedia article, you can add a wikilink to that. The exclusion of external links from pages is part of Wikipedia's external link guideline, which should be followed. While it might be appropriate to include a brief discussion of popular brands, a lengthy comparison of them might not be that relevant. As to the video, if the history is relevant, a better source will likely be needed. TornadoLGS (talk) 03:52, 21 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
