List of television channels in Pakistan
[edit]Hello. Your recent edit to List of television channels in Pakistan appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 18:40, 4 October 2022 (UTC)

Page moves, please stop!
[edit]Hello, Seffi ditch,
Just because you are able to move a page to a different title doesn't mean you should. You are moving around too many pages especially considering that you are a brand new editor. What you are doing is disruptive. Please start a talk page discussion before moving an article to see if other editors agree with your proposed changes. If you continue like this, you will lose your editing privileges so please find some constructive work to do that isn't so disruptive.
If you have questions, please bring them to the Teahouse. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 08:12, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Draft:Minimax Pakistan. Speedy deletion nomination of Film World
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Film World, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. (See section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
- It appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement of http://www.rozee.pk/company/leo-communications-pvt-ltd/about. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Seffi ditch! Your additions to Film World have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 12:44, 15 November 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Film World
[edit]Hello Seffi ditch,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Film World for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

- It might be possible that the article is not a copyvio. Courtesy ping previous admins who reviewed the article for CSD, User:Whpq, User:Justlettersandnumbers, and User:Jimfbleak, if this warning is wrong please revert it and replace with a copying without attribution one instead. Many thanks. VickKiang (talk) 09:31, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- Well, it reads like a press release, and unsurprisingly, LTN Family - About Us ... I have to run out right now, and won't likely be able to do anything until late tonight or tomorrow. It looks like Justlettersandnumbers is looking into whether this is a copyvio, so if Justletters... can take care of it that would be great. Thanks. -- Whpq (talk) 13:38, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- Whpq, I fully share your concerns about this content – everything points to it being a copyvio, introduced to LTN Family with this edit on 17 June 2019, and then again here. However, I've not been able to track down any version of any of the company's many websites which had that content before us. I've removed it both from that page and from Film World, but I'm not comfortable with revdeleting those two pages without an archived source or other convincing proof. Please let me know if you or VickKiang has better luck finding that than I did. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 17:23, 20 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Justlettersandnumbers: I had a look at the archived versions but somehow all of the archives are from 2022. Though, the IP who added the history, User:39.37.165.151, was warned for adding inappropriate/promotional external links from Facebook to the organisation in question. Maybe an older Facebook page displayed the content, which was then copied by the IP? The edits likely point to copyvios but for some reason I couldn't find any archived versions older than this year nor can I find when were those sites updated. Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Prime Asia TV. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! Your draft article, Draft:Film World
[edit]Hello, Seffi ditch. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Film World".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 04:11, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
