Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Seema Chari, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.

The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page. If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! License tagging for File:Seema Chari.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Seema Chari.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 09:30, 20 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Draft:Seema Chari. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Your submission at Articles for creation: Seema Chari (June 24)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Curb Safe Charmer was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: I have reviewed all the references provided. They are either self-published or mere mentions of Chari. There is no in-depth coverage by reliable independent publications. Much of the content is unsourced, and as an autobiography is presumably from their own experiences and would be impossible to properly source. Some of the content is clearly promotional. This is not a place to advertise yourself. Try LinkedIn instead.
Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 11:36, 24 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Curb Safe Charmer:, I do not intend to self promote, I just want a fair presence on the website and hence this article. I have also made sure that I do not have any biases and also have neutral tone to the article. Please guide me as to how to move forward. I am aware of the self promotion clause and am making sure i do not indulge in it on wikipedia.

You might want a 'presence' on Wikipedia, but the Wikipedia community has criteria for who there should be an article about and who not. At the moment, I see no indication that you are a notable individual, based on the criteria defined here. That is the main issue, and any concerns over WP:NPOV, content or formatting are secondary.
