Your edits to taxonomy templates
[edit]I hope it wasn't deliberate vandalism, but your edits to two taxonomy templates had messed up almost 600 other taxonomy templates before I managed to undo them (and there would have been many more problems when the servers caught up). (See also Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Tree of Life#Large number of taxoboxes messed up.) Don't change taxonomy templates unless you are very sure you know what you are doing. Peter coxhead (talk) 08:01, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
- Ok, fine. Do look at WP:Automated taxobox system; if you have any queries about taxonomy templates or automated taxoboxes, I'm always happy to help if you ask on my talk page. Peter coxhead (talk) 18:57, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
Discretionary sanctions notification
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have recently shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect: any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or any page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Recent edit to Pleistocene megafauna
[edit]Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions. Thank you! GirthSummit (blether) 17:39, 17 January 2019 (UTC)
Categorization
[edit]I reverted your edit to Tremarctos floridanus, as pages normally should be placed in the lowest categories available, but not in any category that contains a category already used, and Category:Pleistocene bears is contained in Category:Pleistocene carnivorans. Please see WPSUBCAT. - Donald Albury 22:30, 8 February 2019 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Agriotherium hunting a Sivatherium.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Agriotherium hunting a Sivatherium.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm SummerPhDv2.0. I noticed that you recently removed content from Magical thinking without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. SummerPhDv2.0 22:29, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
It’s because as a religious person, I find it insulting to associate religion with magical thinking.

[edit]December 2020
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, discussion pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:Shooting of Breonna Taylor, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —Bagumba (talk) 16:42, 22 December 2020 (UTC)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Canaanite religion. Not just deleting sourced text but breaking text. Doug Weller talk 08:30, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
