Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Sahil sharifdin English, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to Muhammad Iqbal does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  S0091 (talk) 17:57, 22 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

June 2019

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm S0091. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Ghalib, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Brahma (poem). Your edits continue to appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Brahma (poem) was changed by Sahil sharifdin English (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.969137 on 2019-06-23T06:24:54+00:00

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 06:24, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Poems

[edit]

Hi Sahil! Just to let you know that we can't add the text of poems and other works to Wikipedia, since they are copyrighted and we are not allowed to use them. As you can see in the External links section, there are links to people reciting that same poem already :). Cheers! -- Luk talk 12:04, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sahil, please take some time to read through the material in the Welcome message and any other material in messages editor's have left for you (click the blue links). You are new here and there is a lot to learn. :) I also highly recommend the Wikipedia Adventure which is an interactive tutorial. Keep in mind Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, therefore only interested in summarizing what reliable sources say about a subject (not opinions, personal analysis, etc.) and you must be prepared to provide sources for content you add. If you have questions, you can ask them at the Teahouse where many experienced editors are available to help. Best of luck. S0091 (talk) 15:04, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
