Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. [1] MrOllie (talk) 12:10, 12 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block.

Requested username:

Request reason:

Through the links that the Wikipedia system has pointed me to and an on reflection, I now fully understand why this was an incorrect username. The prefix of stx I use on personal or biz as it is always available and also easy for me to remember.

In the process of updating and adding the extra links for the orphan tag to what I personally believed was correct from the instructions. However I now see that my methods may have been incorrect, as it has been interpreted as spam. Apologies, I am obviously new to this. It would be good is for some guidance please.

It would be my belief that Wikipedia objectives are to make available correct, actuate and current information to readers. The authors of each subject on Wikipedia obviously have an interest commercial or otherwise. If not then they would not be experts in the subject. These people with the interest are those with the expert knowledge of the subject, and I am sure what makes Wikipedia the source of good information it is. It would also be my expectation that someone has to start a wiki on a particular subject. The subject is then built up collectively by a series of people who are all experts on that subject. Each of these people would have an interest in that subject to be an expert.

At present Wikipedia has incorrect information and the subject on Rugged Computers. This information is also out of date. The subject of Harsh Environmental Computer directs to Rugged Computer and this is also incorrect. As an expert on the subject of both of these, it is my responsibility to impart my knowledge due to the incorrect nature of this information. Wikipedia needs a page on the Harsh Environmental Computer. The page that I created, I believed to be written in a completely neutral standpoint (I may have quite wrongly). This was to be the starting point to which a number of other experts, in the subject of Harsh Environmental Computers, could collectively add their content. Both the subject of Harsh Environmental Computer and Rugged Computer will shape up to have current and accurate information, which is what I would understand to be the principles of Wikipedia, and ensure the information of value to readers. I believe this is the process in which all of the information has been written for Wikipedia.

The act of removing the page Harsh Environmental Computer indicates that there is an opinion, that both these subjects are the one and the same subject. It could also appear that this could be the actions and opinion of one person. If this is the case then the next question for Wikipedia is, is this person an expert on the subject, and more importantly, should one person be making a decision like this.

Please reinstate my access write under the new name 'ActPerspective'. Can a Wikipedia admin or admins give me guidance in how to shape this important subject to a place where it is correct for display, so that a collective group of experts, on the subject of Harsh Environment Computer and Rugged Computers can shape these subjects. If in the unlikely event that this group then collectively decides that these subjects should be combined then so be it.

Finally the content that I write will be neutral. If not, please (respectfully) guide me.

The content is from my own knowledge of many years in these subjects and will not on behalf of any other party. This knowledge of course will come from my own experiences and content will obviously show some of what I have seen and what I have been involved in or with, as will be the case with anyone else in this or any other subject.

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. Kuru (talk) 14:28, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Please place the request per the instructions above before making any other edits. As for your content dispute, you may want to start a discussion at Industrial PC or Rugged computer for the contested article - these seem quite similar in scope. Please, do not place any more links or promotional material to your business. Kuru (talk) 14:28, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:ActPerspective/Enter your new article name here, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Notice

The article Meat Industry Association of New Zealand has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not notable. As per a Google search and Google News search, the Association fails both (WP:GNG) and WP:ORG (no significant coverage in reliable sources)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ‎⠀Trimton⠀‎‎ 20:11, 2 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
