I would like to ask you to refrain from deleting correct information and that you source the info you add correctly. Hello SCSchubert, I am really grateful for your edits since you add a lot of information I couldn't find the sources for myself. My first message derived from a request of an administrator, I was notified that there was unsourced or incorrectly sourced information added to my edits and about 500 characters deleted by you. I have noticed that you sometimes add sources with hyperlinks that don't lead to the information needed. I had this problem myself in the past, I guess it's either a problem with Wikipedia's sourcing option itself or there is a problem with LDH related websites (official profiles for example). I'd suggest you to double-check your added sources, bc I often notice this mistake in my own edits. The deletion notification might have happened if you moved certain passages, because it will change the coding of the site. Furthermore, I understand your issue with the distinction between performers and vocalists in the groups. I just wonder if there might be are more elegant solution to it? Writing it into the introduction of each member is most likely necessary, but I think it might be enough to write what role the person has in the first sentence and then add which group(s) they are a member of. For example: Alan Shirahama (白濱亜嵐 Shirahama Aran, born August 4, 1993) is a Japanese performer, actor and DJ who is a member of J-Pop group Exile and also the leader of J-Pop group Generations from Exile Tribe. In this example it's only mentioned that Alan is a performer, actor and DJ. So I'd think people wouldn't think of him as a vocalist even though he is a member of 2 J-Pop groups. What do you think about that? I'd love to hear your opinion.

P.S.: This is just a small detail, but I'd like to ask you to add a title to all your edits and changes of articles. It makes it easier for other editors to see what info was added or changed and makes working together even easier. Kyugium (talk) 17:42, 9 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Another note: I have received reviews about the style and system of the pages from artists such as Naoki Kobayashi and Naoto Kataoka. I often reveive complaints that the surface is very confusing. Generally speaking it's more common to list all activities of a person in chronological order on Wkipedia, not categorized into certain activities (acting, fashion, etc.). Readers often feel confused and overwhelmed. Another aspect are time stamps in the introduction: it's not common to add certain years or dates when something started in the person's life into the introduction. It makes the reader lose interest and gives a feeling of unnecessary extension since all those details will be mentioned later on in the topic career/biography. Hello SCSchubert, after messaging back and forth with several administrators here are the suggestions and problems they notified me of:

1) The main problem were the grammar, spelling and sentence structure mistakes in those edits. However if they will be fixed, no further steps for any type of deletion will be commenced. Additionally, the wording in the articles would often be very informally which does not belong into a factual article on Wikipedia. For example the expressions of feelings on a topic, using emotion-related adjectives and adverbs such as 'beautiful' and including own thoughts are prohibited. It often happens that those type of expressions are used in articles from Japanese media, so it's necessary to word them differently instead of directly translating them. If you are not a native English speaker, I'd advise you to ask for help from other editors who are fluent in the language or rather edit the articles in your draftspace first, let a native English speaker check on them (look for mistakes) and then publish them after everything has been reviewed. 2) The superfluous information was apparently directed towards the passages about Exile, Nidaime J Soul Brothers and Sandaime J Soul Brothers. Identical Information that appears several times in different articles will be flagged as 'spamming'. Since there are already existing articles about Exile and the different generations of J Soul Brothers, how about adding all your researched information into those? I checked up on them and they don't seem up-to-date and not as detailed as the passages you wrote into Naoki Kobayashi and Naoto Kataoka's article. What do you think about moving those passages from the members to those groups? Additionally, readers interested in specific members might be overwhelmed finding all those information about groups they didn't look for.

3) For biographies of living people, it's preferred to list the events in their life in chronological order instead of listing them according to certain topics or fields. This is mostly a stylistic choice, but since it gives a better overview of when the person started specific activities in relation to his previous life and since readers on the Wikipedia mobile app are unable to view sub-headings, it makes the surface of the article more usable. Personally, I use Namie Amuro's Wikipedia page as a reference for biographies since it's very detailed and a good blue-print. This third point does not affect the credibility of the article and is only a matter of style and personal preference, so we don't have to change it immediately and can work out a solution together. The same goes for my suggestion about the introduction in my last messages. Also of course you can mark albums, singles films and tours correctly, you can look at the pages of other LDH artists to see how other editors proceeded to mark them too (so that the style is in unity).

You might have not gotten a notification for the deletion request by the administrators because I was the last editor prior to you on the related articles. It's also common on Wikipedia that only the editor who worked in an article the most, if he created it or not, will be notified by administrators in case of sanctions, deletion notifications, blocks or other regulatory procedures to protect the page and obtain the credibility of the website. Concerning your question, it was actually not me who wrote this piece of information on Ryuji Imaichi's page, but one of the editors before me. I wasn't sure what to do with it myself since there were no sources attached, so I just kept it there to remind me to do some research on it. I haven't been able to do it yet but since you stated you couldn't find any sources, I guess we can just delete this sentence. I've also seen your edits on Ryuji Imaichi's article, thank you so much for your hard work! If it's alright for you, I'd like to correct a few grammatical errors, spelling mistakes and wording issues.

Thank you for all the well-wishes and don't worry, I'm glad I'm able to help! I'm currently working on correcting the articles for Ryuji Imaichi and Hiroomi Tosaka, and I just want to give you a quick conclusion of what I've noticed concerning your writing style and which parts you should improve on: First of all, I see how much research you do. It's truly marvelous and I have a lot of respect for you because of that. However, you often start to ramble on extremely trivial things that do not need to be included in articles about a specific person. For example: you started writing about the High & Low franchise on Hiroomi Tosaka's article and went VERY into depth about the storyline and characters. Such shenanigans are not needed in the main article and make it hard to follow while reading. I strongly suggest you make a separate page for the High & Low franchise, its movies and TV shows to include the information you wrote. Some other examples for this case are the mention of album details from the group the artists are part of (e.g. sales) or which song was composed by the artist (mentioning the first composed song is fine, but after that everything just gets too much). If you want to share those details, create a separate page for the album (that includes those specific songs) and mention all the details there. Sandaime J Soul Brother's album Planet Seven indeed does have its own Wikipedia article for example. Going too much into detail about the themes and promotion details will be very confusing for the reader. Another concern of mine is your use of words in a way that may hint a bias towards the artist, it is better to keep it factual. This is especially noticeable in the 'Early Life' section of Hiroomi Tosaka and Ryuji Imaichi. Including words with emotional connections like 'important', 'enthusiastic', 'to love' etc. decreases the credibility of any article. Your style of writing reminds me more of a story or diary entry, not a factual article. I hope you consider my suggestions and solicitations. I can recommend you to talk with the editor of Sandaime J Soul Brother's Wikipedia page (Takacchin10_10)[1] if you want get more help to improve your writing and style on Wikipedia. Lastly, I have a question: which articles do you plan on working on in the future? Do you want to edit the articles of all individual Sandaime J Soul Brothers members? Or do you want to work on more articles? I'd like to know so I can help you more, give you tips, and maybe teach you the difference in writing styles for articles concerning different topics (such as individual artists, groups, albums, movies, etc.)

P.S.: As I was going through the articles of Hiroomi Tosaka and Ryuji Imaichi, some sources other editors and me had attached seemed to have gotten deleted. This can happen when somebody implements big edits and also depends on the device used for the edit (mobile phone or computer), so you should be careful of that.

I'm glad my suggestions and tips were helpful! I actually planned on doing the same thing once (creating more pages for various sub-topics of Sandaime J Soul Brothers to shorten their original articles), however I sadly never had the time to do so. I would really love to show you the list I had in mind since you seem so enthusiastic:

- High & Low (in general, what the franchise is about) - Road to High & Low (movie) - High & Low: The Red Rain (movie) - High & Low 2: End of SKY (movie) - High & Low 3: Final Mission (movie) - High & Low: The Story of S.W.O.R.D. (TV show) - High & Low Season 2 (TV show)

Basically, the whole High & Low franchise needs one big article and more articles for their individual movies and TV shows. Then it would also be practical if more albums and singles from Sandaime J Soul Brothers get their own article, such as:

- J Soul Brothers (album) - Tribal Soul (album) - Miracle (album) - Future (album) - Best Friend's Girl (single) - Powder Snow (single) - Spark (single) - S.A.K.U.R.A. (single) - C.O.S.M.O.S. (single) - O.R.I.O.N. (single) - Storm Riders (single) - Summer Madness (single) - Unfair World (single) - Welcome to TOKYO (single) - HAPPY (single) - J.S.B. HAPPINESS (single) - Scarlet (single) - Fuyuzora / White Wings (single)

for those articles it's important that you find creditable chart data, for example from Oricon or Billboard Japan. The latter is very good to do research on chart positions of specific singles, songs and albums since they save all their data in a weekly calendar.

It would also be amazing to see articles about the tours the group has done! So that's another suggestion for you.

I would be incredibly thankful if you could help me with this ambition, because I really don't find the time to do all of this.
