Disambiguation link notification for January 5
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Andre Dickens, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Axios. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:03, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
An article you recently created, Omar Nuño, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Ways to improve 2022 Liberty Flames baseball team
[edit]Hello, Rylesbourne,
Thank you for creating 2022 Liberty Flames baseball team.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
This article is mising prose, which means it fails notability for sports teams. Team season articles should consist mainly of well-sourced prose, not just statistics and lists of players. Wikipedia is not a stats directory. See WP:NSEASONS for guidance. Failing this notabilty guide, this article may be redirected to the main team page.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}

Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! Walter Görlitz (talk) 15:58, 25 April 2022 (UTC)

Ways to improve 2022 Flower City Union season
[edit]Hello, Rylesbourne,
Thank you for creating 2022 Flower City Union season.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
This article needs more references in order to provide significant coverage for this article. See WP:SIGCOV
References that have scores, lists, order of merit and video do not pass as reliable sources for WP:NSPORT. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - you may wish to read WP:NSPORT ) To meet notability requirements, several references with significant coverage will suffice. Thank you.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}

Ways to improve Isaac Espinal
[edit]Hello, Rylesbourne,
Thank you for creating Isaac Espinal.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:
What is needed are references from significant coverage about this player, and not their own words; in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS; that is your guide. Lists, Team rosters, pages listing matches and results, databases, Instagram, Facebook, none of these are reliable sources. (There have been changes to the notability guide for sports - see WP:NSPORT ) You may also read WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources. A more comprehensive guide is WP:SOURCES ... Providing sufficient references, ideally giving more information about this player, that meet these criteria is likely to allow this article to remain. Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that this article is not suitable for inclusion.
The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Whiteguru}}

Little America
[edit]Please note that disambiguation pages like Little America are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

2022–23 FC Viktoria Plzeň season moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, 2022–23 FC Viktoria Plzeň season, is not suitable as written to remain published.
-MPGuy2824 (talk) 04:21, 26 August 2022 (UTC)

Page creation
[edit]Would you be able to create a wiki page for Robert Williamson. He plays professionally for both the Harrisburg Heat of MASL and the Flower City Union of NISA. His page was not created. Buffheat8 (talk) 17:59, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
- Is playing in MASL considered notable? I don't think NISA alone is. Rylesbourne (talk) 19:45, 12 September 2022 (UTC)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Rylesbourne! Your additions to 2022 MLS Re-Entry Draft have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 21:35, 16 November 2022 (UTC)

2022 College Cup
[edit]Who is the final authority on a teams W–L–T record when it comes to the 2022 College Cup?
It looks like NCAA and Syracuse consider it a win/loss (listing Syracuse as 19–2–4, IU is 13–5–6 (also discounting a D-III win against Trine)). While TopDrawer and Indiana consider it a tie (Syracuse is 18–2–5, IU is 14–4–7). Then the USocCoaches show it as a win for Syracuse and tie for IU! Who is right (or is there some nuance I'm missing)? Hoof Hearted (talk) 18:45, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
I think I solved my confusion. This article says that tied post season games will use a shootout to determine a "winner", which I interpretted as a W for one team and an L for the other. But it appears to only be a W for the shootout winner, and a T for the other team. Apologies for taking up any of your time. Hoof Hearted (talk) 19:05, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
