merge

[edit]

Yes, see Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). Content about a company, its subsidiaries and its products should all be located together until the main article becomes too large or until the detailed coverage of one aspect is such that including it in the main article would be WP:UNDUE and a WP:SPINOUT article on the sub-topic can be created.

Given that currently, there are merely two stub articles, they should be combined. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 11:56, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The general process for a merge is outlined at WP:MERGE . Essentially, some or all of the contents of one article are added to a different article, and then the resulting article is continued to be edited make the article make sense while following the sources and complying with the policies and guidelines. The article that is merged is generally kept as a WP:REDIRECT so that someone searching for it gets sent to the new page where the content has been moved. -- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 18:19, 21 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Thanks for your valuable suggestions. I'll try my best to add reliable information in this article to expand it further, if possible. otherwise merging would be the option. also, what is the procedure if some other editors from Wiki wants to improve it further? I mean, in that case, shall i have to provide them more information or will they search by themselves and improve it further? as I understand editors don't have that much of time for each and every individual article. kindly suggestRwadhaawa (talk) 11:51, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unless there is an overwhelming consensus before, timeframes for official processes on Wikipedia generally range from 1 week to 30 days. The official guidance Wikipedia:Merging#Step_4:_Close_the_merger_discussion_and_determine_consensus says a week and then uses 30 days in all of the specific advice, but since merger process is not one of the processes timed and tagged for official closure, they often remain "open" for a long time until someone decides to act.-- TRPoD aka The Red Pen of Doom 12:08, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, If in case I'll search and provide some more information to expand it further, then, In that case, the merge tag will be removed automatically or any editor has to remove the merge tag? as the link you shared, there is mentioned that within 1 week or a month if no discussion will happen, the merge will take place. what kind of discussion Wiki is referencing there?Rwadhaawa (talk) 12:28, 22 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi All,

I would like to know if a Youtube link from some renowned independent new source would be considered as a notable source or not? As there are a few authentic news links I have that I can provide to cite more notability to my submission, but those are video news from a renowned news channel on Youtube.

Please suggest! Rwadhaawa (talk) 11:45, 13 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
