Turkey not European
Hi, Wiki projet Airline destinations lists Turkey in Europe, yet a map posted in the discussion page correctly shows Turkey as West Asia, I suggest Turkey be moved to Asia list.(202.141.233.30 (talk) 17:16, 18 February 2008 (UTC))
Orphaned non-free media (Image:Air Algerie logo.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Air Algerie logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. Wouldn't it be better if all such lists were made into collapsable table format like in your Aeroflot article and included in main airline article destination section rather than on a seperate page or article.(116.71.56.127 (talk) 20:01, 8 March 2008 (UTC))

Could you please provide a provide a link to where the discussion about renaming all the national lists of companies took place? The new naming convention looks very messy. - SimonLyall (talk) 09:18, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

Cam Ranh Air Base...
I'm going back though all the vietnam air bases pages that I wrote, removing the national flags and putting in the roundrels of the air forces that stationed aircraft there...
I've changed Cam Ranh to relfect that. Although the VNAF did use their national flag on their tails, they also used a roundrel as the USAF does and the Soviet/Russian VVS.
Also, if you know the aviation regiments that were sent to Cam Ranh by the VVS, it would be a fine addtion to the article.
Hopefully this will adress the NPOV issue and everyone will be happy in the sandbox again....
Warmest Regards

QANTAS: Incidents and Accidents
Me and many of the other users who frequently add to the Wikipedia Qantas Page would appreciate if you stopped deleting many of the incidents. The fact is that they were incidents, whether there was no deaths or airframe damage doesn't matter. They are well documented, even by qantas.com, and will remain there.

RE:Parent company of Singapore Airlines
Until past discussions such as [1], [2], [3], [4], [5] were adequately addressed and resolved, are you in any position to reassert your POV now? What is the difference between the situation then, and the situation now for you to bring up the issue once again?--Huaiwei (talk) 09:11, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
- That is a whole lot of repeatitive garbage which I will simply not waste my time on. If you are capable of talking sense and at least acknowledging your own POV on this issue (which you persist in believing is a domain exclusive only to those who dare oppose you), then kindly keep this discussion in the main article talkpage, instead of snooping around in specialised discussions (the participants of which may not know the full range of concerns here) and issuing threats in my talkpage.--Huaiwei (talk) 10:05, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Air Dominicana (Dominican Republic Aviation)
Hi russavia how are you?? i hope you be fine. Hey about Air Dominicana, i think it is not a planned airline because they are an Airline not a rumor or something like that so i think it should be better a Dominican Airline, uch as Sol Dominicana Airlines, Caribair, those airlines have its airplanes, they only are waiting for the date to start PASSENGER OPERATIONS. Have you heard that Air Dominicana's Boeing 737 is right now in a operations text with the Air Dominicana livey and the dominican registration???, so i think that the only two planned airlines that we have in Dominican Republic are Merengue Airlines Dominicana, and Ocean Airways Aircraft Services because those airlines doesn't have its aircraft yet an ether they aren't salling tickets as Air Dominicana and Sol Airlines are.-what is your opinion of this-
Ahh, also thanks for the invitation for the Aviation Wikiproject, i would like to much to participate in that wikiproject, but i need to know how to join because i didn't found the link and what exactly is this for???

Request to move article Farnborough Air Show incomplete
You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page Farnborough Air Show to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.
Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:
- Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
- Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
- Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.
If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 00:40, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

You certainly have the "right of reply", but you'll note that I moved both your and Huaiwei's comments into a separate section. Your squabble about who sued who for the Silkair crash has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the thread, which concerned airport destination lists.

Уважаемый Russavia!

Ambassadors of Russia
- Looks good. I was concerned that adding ambassadors in the diplomatic missions by country articles would detract from its main scope.
You might want to liaise with people who prepare similar articles (eg: List of Israel Ambassadors, List of Ambassadors and High Commissioners to the United Kingdom, United States Ambassador to Somalia and develop a consensus on how these articles could be organised.
As your article currently stands, it appears to duplicate information in Diplomatic missions of Russia - certainly its chapeau has been plagurised. You may wish to just concentrate on the ambassadors themselves, otherwise it could be a candidate for an AfD. Kransky (talk) 11:09, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for explaining. I took your edit summary to mean that you were moving it, not just deleting it. In any event, it would have been nice if you'd engaged in conversation; it now looks as if you were just ignoring other users. --AndrewHowse (talk) 17:16, 28 June 2008 (UTC)
Russavia
Please be advised that I have sought comment from others concerning your behaviour, specifically, to continue creating subcategories linked to Category:Diplomatic missions by country that themselves are categories linked to only a few minor stubs, when your proposal has been overwhelmingly rejected by other users. Please answer your case on Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User:Russavia. Kransky (talk) 12:34, 26 June 2008 (UTC)

Subcategories
Please stop reverting the changes that I have made to the subcategories in Category:Diplomatic missions by country. They are not helpful and make the page look very clustered. I (and many of us) feel that they are not serving their purpose and make things more complicated than actually trying to simplify them. The same goes for Category:Diplomatic missions by host country. Why?
Why did you delete the accretited embassies of Russia, I am just curiuos.Oxey89 (talk) 21:05, 26 June 2008 (UTC)User:Oxy89
- Hi, because they are no embassies in Russia, they are embassies in Berlin, London, Prague, etc. They don't belong on a Diplomatic missions in Russia article, but rather they belong on the relevant bilateral relations article, i.e. Guyana-Russia relations. --Россавиа Диалог 01:53, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Category for bilateral relations articles
Hi there Russavia,
It seems there is no consensus on naming for bilateral relations articles, but please try to remember to add Category:Bilateral relations when you create articles on bilateral relations on top of the other articles. I still think categories such as Category:Russia-Tanzania relations are over-categorization though. Don't you think they'd be better served by simply being included in the main foreign relations of X category?--Thomas.macmillan (talk) 05:16, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, Category:Bilateral relations looks too problematic, this could potentially have tens of thousands of articles under this category, it needs to be split up, or looked at to find a way to better organise it. I'll post a message on your talk page in due course for your input in gathering concensus. --Россавиа Диалог 01:59, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Out by a mile
The Indonesian project is plagued by massive list cruft - I wouldnt encourage them - they add names and never do anything - it is usually zilch english eds who want to play with the project from ips - to suggest that we actually leave grey or red links over time simply gets more red links added like some very weeird wish list. The english capacity of the red links can be seen on the football pages - about level 1 or minus :( in other words they add a lnk and we never see them again. So over all a bad idea - cheers thanks for the optimism but SatuSuro 13:46, 2 July 2008 (UTC)
Airport names vandalism
Some persom with username Jaspel is going around changing airport names, in most cases he's removing the term "international" from them in others he's re-adding names that were used previously but now redirect to the new name articles, please check, I have come across this at El Al and Pakistan International Airlines there may be others.116.71.59.229 (talk) 18:49, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
CfD nomination of Category:Bosnian diplomats
Category:Bosnian diplomats, which you created, has been nominated for deletion, merging, or renaming. If you would like to participate in the discussion, you are invited to add your comments at the category's entry on the Categories for discussion page. Thank you. Angola–United States relations
May I ask why you removed WP Angola from he article Angola–United States relations? I'm sure you had a good reason but I couldn't make out what it was. Thanks.Student7 (talk) 12:34, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- The article was added by way of using a category, this isn't how to do it. If you look at the wikimarkup of the template now, you will see how to add articles to the Angola WikiProject. Need any help with that in future, let me know. --Россавиа Диалог 12:40, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Ambassadors
I think many of these should just be in a section with their diplomatic country mission pages, rather than their own article, simply because many countries use ambassadorships as payoff for political favors. A colonel in the military is not necessarily a notable person. He may have a good education, language skills, and international relationship skills that could make him a good ambassador, but if he were notable, that information would be spilled all over the place by both Libya and Russia. It's not, so in all likelihood he's not notable enough to find information sufficient to write an article. --Blechnic (talk) 19:31, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
star alliance destntions
Why did you get rid of star alliance destnations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.95.138.197 (talk) 04:45, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
- I myself didn't get rid of the Star Alliance, Skyteam and Oneworld destinations, but rather I put them up for discussion at WP:AFD. It is my opinion that those lists were pure overkill, particularly as none of the alliances are actual airlines, if a list of destinations is needed to be found they should be found under the individual airlines section, although it is also increasingly my belief that even those lists are non-encyclopaedic, due in no small part that they are not referenced to reliable, independent sources, as required by WP:V. --Россавиа Диалог 23:13, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
Manual category renaming
Hi; I see that you recently removed the category Category:Polish-Russian relations from every article and category in which it appeared and replaced it with Category:Poland–Russia relations, which you created. The original category was then deleted as being "empty", simply because you emptied it. While this rename might be a good idea, your method of renaming the category is inappropriate. WP:CFD exists for proposing renames to categories; this process allows comments to be made on a proposed change and the name to proceed or not proceed based on consensus. In the future, please use WP:CFD when you feel the name of a category should be changed. Good Ol’factory (talk) 10:41, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
Hmm
Large amounts of new categories and no project tags - it would be a good idea to actually assist projects in keeping tabs of new categories by putting skeleton templates on the talk pages - as a matter of courtesy - some projects have few if any category maintainers and all it needs is you and two others to keep creating new categories to leave some projects scratching their heads as to where the categories came from - t doesnt take much - cheers - and if I have missed where you have done so - my apologies to you in advance - but just coming across even just a few is enough to provokes this suggestion SatuSuro 15:30, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- A lot of projects don't 'tag' categories, WP:RUSSIA being one of those. It is my understanding that these categories are picked up by bots on a regular basis anyway. --Россавиа Диалог 16:07, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- Show me the bots - they are rare as active eds - basic project maintenance if you watch most projects need their categories and articles tagged to be able to run assesment logs correctly - I asked it as a courtesy not as a demand btw SatuSuro 16:14, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- I concur...you appropriated the "Diplomatic Missions by Country" category to add in your articles, despite others having misgivings for this move as previously mentioned. The articles you have instead linked to this category are mostly stubs (in most cases just the address of an embassy and maybe the name of the ambassador). You would be more useful to Wikipedia by writing articles with substance than creating categories to suit your own whims. Please revert your changes. Kransky (talk) 15:39, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- I haven't appropriated anything. Alas, I have followed long-standing convention here on WP in regards to categorisation of lists and articles, and it isn't just articles (some stubs) which I have created, but a whole lot of articles created by a whole lost of other editors. And as you can see, there is now no 'cluttering', and articles and lists are easily found by way of categorisation, that of course being the entire of categories in the first place. And I object Kransky, to your continued use of 'articles with substance' comments, whilst some of the Russian 'articles' I have created are stubs at the moment, many of these are being expanded, and some will be expanded by myself in future, but first and foremost, it is part of fighting systematic bias here on Wikipedia. --Россавиа Диалог 16:07, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
- I haven't appropriated anything Yes you have; you are now using the Category:Diplomatic missions by country category to sort your subcategories, and not the actual articles that were written before. Please do not insult my intelligence. People have commented on your suggestion before; some agree but many don't.
- I object Kransky, to your continued use of 'articles with substance' comments...whilst some of the Russian 'articles' I have created are stubs at the moment, many of these are being expanded, and some will be expanded by myself in future. Pray tell - how do you propose to expand (say) the article Embassy of Russia in Damascus? Beyond supplying us with the fact that it is the chief diplomatic mission of Russia in Syria (no sh*t, Sherlock) and its address, what additional facts will you be supplying in the future? Bilateral ties has its own article. Do you know something substantive about the building? I would struggle to find something in the public domain worth contributing on this subject. Frankly I am not confident that you or others will end up making this article anything more than a stub - saying it is a "work in progress" is not really bona fide if there is little work that could possibly be added.
- If you think there is systematic bias you should talk about it, rather than making your own dramatic changes against the judgement of others. Happy to seek arbitration. Kransky (talk) 16:40, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
