License tagging for Image:Agentcheesecake 01.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Agentcheesecake 01.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:05, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Notability of Ray bandar
[edit]A tag has been placed on Ray bandar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bearian (talk) 00:38, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
April 2008
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed that you recently added a {{hangon}} template to an article. In order for an administrator to evaluate whether the article should be speedy deleted or not, we request that you provide a reasoning of why it should remain on the article's talk page. Thank you. Beach drifter (talk) 04:12, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
It is considered incivil to edit another person's userpage. In addition, your recent edit to User:Bearian was a presumptuous "correction" that was not a correction. His wording was perfectly grammatical English, just as "elected President" would be. --Orange Mike | Talk 20:52, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Try WP:UP#OWN. --Orange Mike | Talk 21:11, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- Userpages are as close to being one's own as anything here (this isn't MySpace). Correction of another editor's idiom is often (not always) a violation of our acceptance for diverse varieties of English usage; infinitely more so on one's userpage. Of course, it is up to Bearian, not me, to decide to what extent he/she is offended. (Also note: vandalism of one's userpage is the most common form of attack upon an editor; a really sound editor may rack up 100 or more such incidents. Thus, we tend to be hyperprotective of each other's userpages.) --Orange Mike | Talk 21:26, 22 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have no problem with others pointing out errors. I teach legal writing to college students. I strive for correct grammar and citation form, but I use less formal grammar on the telephone, and in WP, in edit summaries, "my" user space, and talk pages. I want to keep what I wrote. Admins watch each others' pages and revert what is done by others. Bearian'sBooties (talk) 02:18, 23 April 2008 (UTC)
The article Armageddon: The Alien Agenda has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- All-plot comic article unreferenced since 2007.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 10:14, 19 August 2011 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (File:Agentcheesecake 01.JPG)
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Agentcheesecake 01.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:00, 25 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
