- Thank you for both. I began the article just feeling it was my duty to translate from German which others would have more trouble, and only then found out that ecumenical praise was his thing! I watched the Requiem (sometimes just listening): good music, especially the Mozart, and a great speech by the present bishop who really knew the other well. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:35, 13 October 2024 (UTC)
- Listen to the music in my story: I put it on DYK 10 years ago (mentioning Ukraine) and heard it today for the first time. That violinist/violist was incredible! Last month someone added to her article that she died, - a year ago OTD - which is also the wedding anniversary of two people who heard her play when they were children, - so I love that she plays viola d'amore in that music ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:27, 15 October 2024 (UTC)

- Gerda Arendt, Wonderful article on Leif. Truly, enjoyed learning about his life and work. Thank you for your efforts with this. Regarding the Summer Olympics photo on his page, it made me wonder one thing about orchestras, which has been on my mind for a long time. Why do the men wear tuxedos, and women wear whatever black dress they choose, including bare arms, and some even have nude hoisery? I've seen this in many parts of the world, and it stumps me. I've also seen it otherwise, where women wear a standardized outfit, just like the men wear tuxes. Wondering if you have thoughts on this. --Rosiestep (talk) 16:09, 16 October 2024 (UTC)

Call for volunteers for the research project “Measuring the Gender Gap: Attribute-based Class Completeness Estimation”
We are a group of researchers at The University of Queensland, Australia who are working on a research project titled “Measuring the Gender Gap: Attribute-based Class Completeness Estimation” (see https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Measuring_the_Gender_Gap:_Attribute-based_Class_Completeness_Estimation), supported and funded by the Wikimedia Foundation. Our goal is to understand how and to develop supporting tool for Wikipedia editors making decisions on how to address the gender gap in Wikipedia content.
We are looking for a passionate Community Engagement Manager who will play a pivotal volunteer role in this project to help us to engage with the Wikipedia editors’ communities.
About the Role: The volunteer will help us to:
· Develop a plan to engage relevant Wikipedia communities with our project.
· Identify individual editors willing to join an online research interview (this study was approved by the University of Queensland Human Research Ethics Committee, reference 2023/HE001795).
· To understand how gender balance has been taken into account in the editorial process and decisions, as well as to discuss how a tool could be best designed to support this process.
Who We Are Looking For:
· Someone with a strong commitment to promoting gender equality in Wikipedia.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Experience in community management (desirable).

We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs.
