Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Information icon Hi Roman3141! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of 2023 Manipur violence several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:2023 Manipur violence, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 07:20, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know. That was me being a newbie - i missed making an update after i submitted changes, or pressed the "Enter" key in the "Edit Summary" thinking it would go to a new line. Roman3141 (talk) 13:42, 3 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Short descriptions

[edit]

Thank you for adding short descriptions to our articles. Please note that, as per WP:SD40, the description should be 40 characters (including spaces) or fewer, to avoid it being truncated. Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 16:32, 10 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Per the note from Arjayay above, WP:SD40 expects that short descriptions be - well - short. Most commonly <40 characters. In this edit you added a description which is 83 characters in length. It is not "short". And, rather, is over DOUBLE what would be considered "short". Guliolopez (talk) 20:20, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Guliolopez Thanks for the reminder. Will make sure to review next time. Roman3141 (talk) 20:52, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
