2. Violation of the Biographies of Living Persons (BLP) Policy
Wikipedia's BLP Policy highlights the importance of accuracy in articles about living individuals:
“Contentious material about living persons that is unsourced or poorly sourced should be removed immediately and without discussion.”

The statement in question is contentious and defamatory, yet no reliable sources verify its claims. Publishing such unverified information risks violating Wikipedia’s commitment to neutrality and fairness.
3. Neutral Point of View (NPOV)
Wikipedia's NPOV Policy requires that all articles represent information fairly and without bias:
“All Wikipedia articles and other encyclopedic content must be written from a neutral point of view, representing significant views fairly, proportionately, and without bias.”

The claim as it stands is not neutral, as it disproportionately presents a negative view of Mr. Lopez without corroboration or balancing context.
4. Potential Defamation and Harm
Including speculative or false claims could expose Wikipedia to legal risks, as noted in the BLP Policy:
“Editors must take particular care when adding information about living persons to any Wikipedia page. Such material requires a high degree of sensitivity, and must adhere strictly to all applicable laws in the United States and to this policy.”
This reinforces the importance of removing any unverified, potentially defamatory statements.
