Ingleside, North Carolina
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Ingleside, North Carolina, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}}
to the top of Ingleside, North Carolina. Cenarium (talk) 17:01, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
Another editor has added the {{prod}}
template to the article Farrington, North Carolina, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}}
template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. BJBot (talk) 18:00, 27 February 2008 (UTC)

Evergreen, NC
[edit]Are you familiar with Columbus County, North Carolina? User:Carlossuarez46 and I are very curious how there could be two Evergreens in the county, but neither of us have been to the area. If you know the area, would you be able to help us understand such an odd situation as this? Nyttend (talk) 18:07, 11 March 2008 (UTC)

I removed the speedy tag from Luck, North Carolina. Please take a look at the current version of the article. I looked up the community at GNIS at http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnispublic and added the information that I found there. Please try to add GNIS information in the same format to other articles you create about small communities in North Carolina so that the articles would be more useful. Thank you. --Eastmain (talk) 01:29, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Communities in North Carolina
[edit]Hi, I notice that you have created several new short articles for unincorporated communities in North Carolina. Please slow down and provide context and references for what you contribute. Some points:
- Sytle: Please consider wording like: "Clegg is an unincorporated community in Wake County, North Carolina..."
- Please assign categories (if only to give other editors less to clean up). Relevant categories are:
- Category:Unincorporated communities in North Carolina
- If the community is in Wake County, North Carolina. Then add [[Category:Wake County, North Carolina]]
- If the article is just a sentence or two, please add a stub template at the end of the article. In this case, use {{NorthCarolina-geo-stub}}.
- Please include coordinates so that others can find the place on a map for verification. You can get coordinates from Google Maps or the USGS Geonames Database.

I just saw your stub for Woodville, Perquimans/Pasquotank County, North Carolina. Use this following page as a model to further develop your article: Lewiston_Woodville, North_Carolina. In the meantime, be sure to add a category and expand it with referenced articles. Kgrr (talk) 18:23, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
- Richard, I put just enough in to keep your article around long enough for you to add-in what you need. I've added the categories and a couple of references. Consider adding a picture of the town, and some more information about it. Enjoy. Kgrr (talk) 21:33, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
- Richard, I moved your Woodville page to Woodville, Perquimans County, North Carolina because it's actually registered under Perquimans County.Kgrr (talk) 21:48, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I just expanded the Shotwell article to a basic stub. Settlements are notable, but articles about them need enough information for readers to identify them. Always include your sources. Please lookup and add coordinates for the places you add. You can get information at HomeTownLocator. Again, please add categories and a {{NorthCarolina-geo-stub}} tag at the end of new article stubs. Please don't write articles that other editors have to rescue. • Gene93k (talk) 15:09, 5 April 2008 (UTC)
Unreferenced, incomplete articles
[edit]Hello. I noticed you have just created another batch of unreferenced, one-sentence articles about places in North Carolina. Please stop. For example, Beaver Creek, North Carolina meets the criteria for speedy deletion since there is not enough information to identify the place. (There are two places named Beaver Creek.) Again, when you create an article, please take a minute to look up its coordinates. When you add content to Wikipedia, always cite sources where you got your information. And again, please stop creating articles that other editors have to rescue. • Gene93k (talk) 11:32, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, why are you adding the "current" ages for all the characters from that show? They are fictional characters and their ages should only be stated as they were while they were on the show. For An Angel (talk) 02:08, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Union Cross, Forsyth County, North Carolina
[edit]Hello. The Union Cross, Forsyth County, North Carolina article, which you created, has been merged and redirected to Union Cross, North Carolina. Union Cross, Forsyth County was a duplicate article. Union Cross in Yadkin County appears to be a neighborhood and does not appear to justify disambiguation. • Gene93k (talk) 23:19, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
Notability of Brenda Vivian
[edit]A tag has been placed on Brenda Vivian requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
