February 2024 WikiProject Unreferenced articles backlog drive – award

[edit]

Citation Barnstar

This award is given in recognition to Replayful for collecting more than 100 points during the WikiProject Unreferenced articles's FEB24 backlog drive. Your contributions played a crucial role in sourcing 14,300 unsourced articles during the drive. Thank you so much for participating and helping to reduce the backlog! – – DreamRimmer (talk) 18:45, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Amazing! woohoo! //Replayful (talk | contribs) 21:35, 8 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
An observation: the title of this barnstar ends with ''', but lacks them from the start. This causes a lint error. Putting this here so I can remember and in case @DreamRimmer wants to know //Replayful (talk | contribs) 11:31, 22 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for catching that. There are 214 pages that need fixing. I can handle it with my bot, but getting a BRFA approved can take some time. That's why I am reaching out to @Primefac; I've seen them fix similar mass message errors with their bot, so hopefully, they can assist with this one. – DreamRimmer (talk) 12:30, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds fine, I think these lint errors are considered very small issues so no need to hurry or worry :) //Replayful (talk | contribs) 13:54, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
For only 214 pages, I would actually post this to WP:AWB/TASKS rather than wait for a BRFA to go through. At least in this instance it will be faster. I'll see about getting a generic "someone screwed up an MMS" fixing task going at some point, since these seem to be occurring with a frightening regularity. Primefac (talk) 16:21, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I considered requesting this at WP:AWB/TASKS, but I didn't want to flood people with unnecessary messages for these edits, so I canceled it. I've seen you handle similar cleanups, so I assumed your bot has a generic task for this. Now I've noticed that DannyS712's bot has a generic task for this. – DreamRimmer (talk) 16:36, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You know, I thought someone had a task for that. Thanks for doing the dive. Primefac (talk) 18:31, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can help, just please let me know what the list of affected pages is and what the change needs to be (please ping with response) --DannyS712 (talk) 07:00, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @DannyS712. As you can see above, the barnstar where the Citation Barnstar text is not bold because I mistakenly used ''' only after the text but forgot to use it before the text. The correct text should be '''Citation Barnstar'''. So please find instances of Citation Barnstar''' and replace them with '''Citation Barnstar'''. Here is the list of user talk pages that need this change. – DreamRimmer (talk) 15:36, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have uploaded some images here and here to make it easier to understand. Hope this helps! – DreamRimmer (talk) 15:56, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bot run complete, 208 pages updated, see here. The following pages were skipped with null edits:

Let me know if anything else is needed. Thanks, --DannyS712 (talk) 17:41, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Great. Thanks once again for your help! – DreamRimmer (talk) 18:29, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
