Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit that you made to the page Chico DeBarge has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Please use the sandbox for testing any edits; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing for further information. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 05:10, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. Please disregard the above. Thanks, FASTILY (TALK) 05:19, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You know, I'd just recommend keeping a close eye on future changes to the page. If the text is re-added, then you'll exactly know who did it. Regards, FASTILY (TALK) 05:28, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 05:31, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to the page Chico DeBarge. Such edits constitute vandalism and are reverted. Please do not continue to make unconstructive edits to pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thank you. Smokizzy (talk) 06:46, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're being discussed by administrators

[edit]

Please see WP:AN3#User:Realitylogger72 reported by User:Horkana (Result: ). Another editor has complained about your repeated edits at the Troy Garity article. He states that you have "been making the same unconstructive edits over and over on the article Troy Garity". Please respond at the above AN3 thread to explain your thinking. We expect that editors will seek consensus and look for support from others. If you were actually trying to follow consensus, why do we see no comments at all from you on the article's talk page? EdJohnston (talk) 23:24, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please agree to stop edit-warring at Troy Garity. If not, you may be blocked. Believing you are right is not a defence. You need to abide by whatever all the editors on the Talk page believe is correct. So far you have put nothing on the talk page, and you don't leave any edit summaries. EdJohnston (talk) 00:36, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
See the result of the 3RR case at WP:AN3#User:Realitylogger72 reported by User:Horkana (Result: Warned). Continuing to revert without checking if people back you up on the article's talk page may lead to sanctions. EdJohnston (talk) 16:22, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Misplaced message

[edit]

I believe you have misposted a message on my talk page meant for another editor. -- Whpq (talk) 02:31, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi-I don't know how to leave edit summaries and I don't know how to contact you-there is no place on your page, Mr. Johnston that says leave a reply or anything like that, so I am rather confused on how to contact you.

To reach User:EdJohnston, please post messages to User talk:EdJohnston. I am not that editor. -- Whpq (talk) 16:39, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please start leaving edit summaries

[edit]

See Help:Edit summary. Consider reminding yourself to leave summaries by following these steps:

  1. Open up Special:Preferences
  2. Click on Editing
  3. Check the box which says Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.

If you get into a pattern of repeatedly reverting an article while leaving no summaries, you may be subject to criticism. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 16:12, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
