Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Rcmeyers, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Brianda and I work with Wiki Education; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 00:28, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Brianda, thank you! I'll certainly call on you when I need help editing. I also received a warm welcome email in Italian from Wikipedia Italia, after having read a Wikipedia article in Italian. I speak several languages and am just finishing General Education requirements for my Linguistics degree which I have already finished all the requirements for. Again, thank you,

Taos language

[edit]

Hello @Rcmeyers, My attention was brought to your edits on the Taos language article for a copyright violation, which I think you addressed. But I ended up reverting your edits because the information was about the history of a revolt, nothing to do with the Taos language. Your info seems better fit to be on an article about the history of the Pueblo people. I also found articles on the Pueblo Revolt and on Pope that seem better suited for the direction you took. Let me know if you have any questions about what I've written. Looping in @LesserGoldfinch. Brianda (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:20, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Brianda (Wiki Ed), thank you for looping me in and your communication and support in general. I didn't know about the Teahouse and will check that out and offer to students as another avenue of support! @Rcmeyers, I've emailed you directly with more info about the assignment noted here and am happy to work with you on the scope of future assignments. Also happy to chat more over email, Zoom, or here. LesserGoldfinch (talk) 18:57, 14 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
