Hi, I'm a journalist researching Wikipedia for a book I'm writing and I'd like to email with you, if possible. Please drop me a line at aaronmteasdale at gmail dot com

Thank you! Digaaron (talk) 08:49, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Digaaron, be happy to talk here. I don't give out my email. Please let me know how I can help, although I am not that active of a user and there are more experienced editors who can assist with questions about Wikipedia. --RTotzke (talk) 02:23, 23 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. This would be a better conversation to have privately, as I'm investigating paid editors. Drop me a line or I can come back here and have the conversation openly if you prefer. Thanks. Digaaron (talk) 23:51, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's interesting that within 24 hours of me mentioning to you that I'm investigating paid editors a certain Colin O'Brady dug into my social media pages, the same Colin O'Brady whose Wiki entry you dutifully scrubbed of critical and well-sourced information for over a year. Since you have chosen not to contact me via email for a private interview, I'll ask some questions here. How do you feel about Wikipedia's guidelines for paid editors? How much do you charge people to create entries for them? Is it unusual to be paid by someone to create an entry for someone else, like you did with Louis Rudd? How much do you charge for protecting entries from information that could reflect poorly on the subject? Do you have any ethical qualms about what you do? If you do not feel your work corrupts the content and spirit of Wikipedia, what is your argument for why? Digaaron (talk) 04:33, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
