Request reason:

The page that I was creating for RL Leaders was not meant to be for promotional purposes. It was and is a work in progress. I am new to wikipedia and still trying to learn everything and the policies. I published the page before it was ready, as I was still gathering references and information and links. The company is an entity that works directly with the CIA and Dept of Defense, homeland security etc and creates training simulation for the United States armed forces. They are not a company that even needs promotion. John C Rogers the founder has a wikipedia page, and I think it's important that RL Leaders have a reference page. Is there a way I can re-create the article and take out all the promotional information, as I was already in the process of doing? A lot of information that I had gathered about the company I gathered from their website, and was in the process of rewriting as informational rather than promotional. I am not in any way a part of RL Leaders and simply wanted to start an informational page about what they do and their history and projects and entities they work with as they are important entities that all have their own wikipedia pages. Is there a way I can start over? I spent hours on what I had already drafted and spent hours gathering articles about the company and their projects. I also have gathered in the meantime more information about recent projects. I'm also confused about policy, as there are hundreds of wiki pages of organizations, businesses and groups. Please advise. RL Leaders (talk) 07:08, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Firstly, you need to change your username to a name that is unconnected to any organisation or product, so for your next unblock request you should use the text:
{{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}}

Secondly, I am unconvinced that you should be editing articles where you have a significant conflict of interest. PhilKnight (talk) 01:05, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because...

This is a company that works with the United States government on National Security issues and other important intelligence issues. Every one of their clients has a wikipedia page. There is also a page already dedicated to John C Rogers, the founder of RL Leaders.

This page is also a work in progress as we are researching more references for the projects they have done. These have yet to be added.

It's also informative in regards to projects that have aided soldiers and govt. It's important to spread knowledge of national security when we our country is in the terror climate that it is.

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:43, 5 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
