- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
- Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.
Happy editing! Cheers, AntiDionysius (talk) 17:20, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, thank you RJC147 (talk) 17:24, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- No problem. Also just so you're aware, it's generally not recommended (though by no means prohibited either) to draft articles/practice editing on your user page; your user sandbox (User:RJC147/sandbox) is a good place to practice, and a draft page if you're drafting an article. But we do already have an article on Lynx deodorant. AntiDionysius (talk) 17:25, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, RJC147. This is your user talk page; the purpose of this page is notification and communication with other Wikipedia editors. It is not a workspace for articles in progress or for self-promotion. Please use your user sandbox or the draft article space to practice editing or to create new articles. Thank you. - Oh sorry, I didn’t know that I understand RJC147 (talk) 17:28, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have a question though did my lynx deodorant Wikipedia page actually work? RJC147 (talk) 17:43, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- What do you mean by "work"? AntiDionysius (talk) 17:44, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- I mean, can you actually see it? Like can you go and search up links deodorant, Wikipedia and find it? And by that I mean on Wikipedia. RJC147 (talk) 17:44, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- No. Like I said, you wrote it on your user page. User pages aren't indexed by google. Someone making that search would find the existing Lynx deodorant Wikipedia article, here. AntiDionysius (talk) 17:47, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
- Well, that was dumb, okay thank you RJC147 (talk) 17:47, 8 November 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of User:RJC147
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:RJC147 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hoax material is prohibited
[edit]Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you.-- Ponyobons mots 18:57, 8 November 2024 (UTC)
On that note, where did the information you added to Leptotrophon fusiformis come from? You added a source, but the text you wrote was in part contradicted by source (in other words, the source said the exact opposite!) and much of it wasn't mentioned anywhere in the sources. Where did you find the info? --bonadea contributions talk 18:11, 9 November 2024 (UTC)
