Had anyone else realised how you created your username before reading your userpage, or is it just me? I swear I did! PS. Are you really Greek? Userboxes say so...•NikoSilver 15:43, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, Ok. I created that 'r' in my mind! The other q: Has anyone else understood what your username stands for? I did! •NikoSilver 16:06, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes

[edit]

Hi, If you want to keep your userboxes as they are now, you should subst them. Even if I subst the moved userboxes, and userboxes on your page that are moved in the future will attract bot edits. Do you want me to subst them all for you? The page will look exactly the same.--Andeh 16:01, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've subst them. The page looks exactly the same as before.--Andeh 16:45, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot guarantee a bot won't edit your page, but this should reduce the risk.--Andeh 16:49, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Because I didn't like scrolling down all the time. Also, bots may still edit the categories on your user page, but shouldn't change how it looks.--Andeh 11:04, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

And how do you get 80+ Users to sign your signature book? I currently only have 19.

It isn't a race; I would suggest just waiting. Also, could you please sign your posts on talk pages with ~~~~? This way a Wikipedian can tell who posted the message and when. Thanks a lot. Happy editing! S.D. ¿п? § 15:32, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Qmwnebrvtcyxuz,

I would love to be friends with you. If you have any questions, or vice versa, you are welcomed to ask me, or vice versa. We could exchange our ideas. Please sign your name, on User:Smcafirst/Best Friends on Wikipedia, and place some comments.

Please also do check out WP:GHR. I would like you to join it. It is about the Golden Horseshoe. If you are not familiar with this area, read this article. I really would want you to join it.

Hi Qmwnebrvtcyxuz,

I hereby want to invite you to join our WikiProject's outreach department. What you do is simple: First, you start a base page (I, Ilovevancouver90909, Colonies Chris) will help you out. The Outreach department is like a bulletin board, putting news on there. One more thing you do is to recruit new members, and that is VERY important. I already started the page for you already, check it out: Wikipedia:WikiProject Golden Horseshoe Roads/Outreach Department. I put you as a supervisor, which means you are in charge of the department. In case of emergencies, notify myself or Ilovevancouver90909 Please reply if you accept the job.

Happy Editing,

Hi Qmwnebrvtcyxuz,

Long time no... talk! Happy Birthday to you! And also happy Valentines Day!

Hungry? Here's a little snack for you on your birthday, from the Wikipedia Birthday Committee! Have a great day, Qmwnebrvtcyxuz!

For WP:GHR's outreach department, what you basically do is to recruit new members to join us. Okay? Also, when you make a new article under our project, be sure to follow this guideline. Thanks!

Hi Qmwnebrvtcyxuz,

As per WP:GHR, we could like to know where everybody lives (in which city) so that I could divide the job equally. If you live outside of the Golden Horseshoe, you will be assigned of cleaning-up articles, while people who live in Golden Horseshoe will be assigned to create articles about their area.

About the 'Award'

[edit]

The The Apprentice Award in Minor Discovering Locations of Pages award is just something I had made up for my secret page as more of a poorly humorous joke. It's not an official award and is recognized by...well, who ever visits the page. So yes...it is basicly a lame award to be proud of finding the subpage. Anyways, once again congrats on finding the not-so-hidden page. GeneralIroh (Leave a message after the beep if you gotta problem.) 04:44, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your user name

[edit]

Please see WP:RFC/N for discussion of your user name. There is a concern that your user name violates our user name policy in that it is a random sequence of letters. Please contribute to discussion there, Metros232 15:09, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits

[edit]

Please remember that first and foremost Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a MySpace. Since October 14 you have not made a single edit to an article. However, since then you've made at least 550 edits, almost all of them to your user page or other user space areas. Please remember this and help us build a strong encyclopedia. Metros232 15:46, 20 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's been about 2 weeks since this message and since then you've made about 100+ edits with only one of them coming to something outside the user space (and that was to the Wikiproject on user spaces). Please remember this is an encyclopedia first and foremost. Unproductive accounts may find themselves blocked for not contributing to the common good, Metros232 00:12, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Username allowed

[edit]

Hello, Qmwnebrvtcyxuz. While there had been some discussion here about whether your username met Wikipedia policy on what usernames editors can use, the result was to allow it, and that discussion has now been closed. If you would like to see what concerns were raised, you can still find that discussion in the archive. You do not need to change your username. However, if you ever wish to do so, it is possible for you to keep your present contributions history under a new name: simply request a new name here following the guidelines on that page, rather than creating a whole new account. Thank you. -- RyanPostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 17:58, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What are you doing here?

[edit]

You are aware that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, right? Yet your last edit to that encyclopedia was way back in October? If you're looking for a social networking site, which you seem to be, judging by the number of edits you have to user talk pages and such, you need to go elsewhere. Please see WP:ENC. --Cyde Weys 00:51, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree - Mrug2 04:10, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So at what age does Wikipedia turn from a social network to an encyclopedia? Does he have to be 10 before we expect him to contribute outside of the user space? 13? Metros232 04:13, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unless some tangible benefit can be seen to banning him 4eva, I see no point in pursuing this. Milto LOL pia 04:29, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No one suggested banning him "4eva" which I assume translates to "forever." But, tell me, what tangible benefit is there for the encyclopedia in his contributions? Metros232 04:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Let's assume it's none. So what happens next? A pointless block, which would generate further pointless drama, alienate his dad (a legit contributor), etc. If he's not hurting anything than any action to prevent him from not doing anything won't help at all. On the other hand, if he is let be decides six months down the road to make a useful edit, then everyone wins. I see no win situation in doing anything, but a possible win in letting him be. RE:Your Signature!

[edit]

Hi Qmwnebrvtcyxuz,

Sorry for not replying, but I was kind of busy. Your signature looks great, and I loved it. However, according to WP:SIG, your signature should not contain many colours, since it will be distracting to the eye, and also "unfair" for people who have colour blindness. You know, Tragic Baboon warned me this point before. So yeah...

Cheers,

Hello WikiProject Space member! A discussion has been started regarding the future of WikiProject Space here; any comments you might have would be welcome! There are mainly two competing ideas:

  1. Centralize all the Space-related WikiProjects, such as Astronomy and Spaceflight, and merge them into WikiProject Space, or
  2. Separate the Astronomy and Spaceflight "sides" of WikiProject, and remove WikiProject Space.

If you can think of other options, that's great too. Your contribution to the discussion would be much appreciated. Thanks! :)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. PCGS mintage figures

[edit]

I saw that you used PCGS figures at Half cent (United States coin). Thank you for trying to improve the article, but you should know that there are many inaccuracies in the PCGS mintage figures. It is best to cross reference the figures with other sources to ensure accuracy. The Red Book is usually the best source for historical US coin mintage figures, and the US Mint itself is usually the best for modern coins. - ZLEA T\C 02:44, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline of European exploration edits

[edit]

Why do you keep adding those tiny, insignificant discoveries? Tiny islands and gravel banks aren't included in any entry. Note every entry includes either long stretches of coastline, a large island or islands, or something new, not some "gravel bank" off Greenland or some tiny island. Please stop including them. Might as well include every island in the South Pacific since someone wrote a news article about it at some point. ChristopherColumbus1492 (talk) 22:58, 22 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Signpost article

[edit]

Hi @Qmwnebrvtcyxuz, I'm doing a Signpost article on userboxes, and selected your name as one of five users to be interviewed. I have some questions about your experience in userboxes:

  1. How did you first get into userboxes?
  2. How long have you been using/creating userboxes?
  3. Why do you like userboxes?
  4. What's your favorite userbox and why?

Thanks in advance for your input. Regards, Urban Versis 32KB(talk / contribs) 02:11, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Qmwnebrvtcyxuz. I am just letting you know that I have converted the speedy deletion tag that you placed on Pan African Forum of Civil Societies to a proposed deletion tag, because I do not believe CSD applies to the page in question.
