Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Praetor71, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you created or edited appears to be an article about yourself. Writing about yourself is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians.

As this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. We require individuals to meet Wikipedia's definition of a notable person to accept articles about them. A page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

If your contributions to an existing article about yourself are undone and you wish to add to or change it, please propose the changes on its talk page.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I am a student of Wolfgang Mückenheim, and I find this person remarkable (note several hundreds of citations of his Review of Extended Probabilities and 4 books with many editions). I have used the German Wikipedia and private communication to gather the information. If this is not accepted by the ruling admins, I will withdraw. I have sent you a note about a page you started

Hi Praetor71. Thank you for your work on Wolfgang Mückenheim. Another editor, Ldm1954, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

There are far too many issues with this page. In addition to those others have already tagged, his notability is very unclear. Worst, many claims go too far. For instance the draft said he developed the commercial eximer laser -- no, he was part of a team. Similarly the extended probabilities is cited as his work, but that is a multiauthor paper.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Ldm1954}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

@Ldm1954: Mückenheim did not develop the excimer laser but the "first commercial tunable" excimer laser called EMG 150. This cannot be verified however by indepedent sources. So I have dropped it. The review of exteded probabilities is his work. Only in one chapter some independent scholars have contributedbecause he invited them.Praetor71 (talk) 18:10, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contributions to Wolfgang Mückenheim. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has too many problems of language or grammar and too many of the claims go too far, plus notability is very unclear. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ldm1954 (talk) 13:16, 4 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
