Speedy deletion nomination of Metin Celalettin
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Metin Celalettin, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.
Hello, Polar115. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.Deb (talk) 15:08, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
The article Metin Celalettin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No recognition of what is required for WP:BLP - needs to be taken to draft space - not fit for main space in its current form
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. JarrahTree 00:37, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
Metin Celalettin
[edit]Needs to be put into draft space until you get a really good handle on what is required for WP:BLP - it should not be left in main space in its current condition. JarrahTree
If someone goes to the trouble to place categories in the article
[edit]Please do not delete them, more likely you are to have a deleted article JarrahTree 06:00, 23 December 2018 (UTC) Sorry JarrahTree - just trying to remove anything not verifiable as the page is perfectly allowed as it is under the rules
A few things to learn WP:SIGN
- leave the article in main space in the current state and it will get deleted, the rules as you put it would normally have deleted it by now. JarrahTree 06:11, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
Cheers mate, apologies, am just learning and will add that section again tonight
Please learn to WP:SIGN - and for heavens sake find wP:RS or otherwise forget it JarrahTree 06:17, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
And find something other than that one reference repeated or its down the gurgler in one fell swoop - see wP:N and WP:V JarrahTree 06:24, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
I've added the other journal article and once the third is published I will add that. I'm really not trying to be a pain in the a$$ mate I am sincerely just learning
please stop calling me mate
[edit]Thanks.
- Career - waste of time, by association is not the same as WP:RS - and really there is nothing WP:N notable about the indivudal that reaches reliable sources to be able to quote. Further more if it is in actual fact you - you have major issues with not just a grenade, but WP:COI - simply nothing in the system to verify your assertions, and WP:BLP simply is not passed by a set of very similar sources. JarrahTree 08:18, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
- Also claims about employment or positions require WP:RS in WP:BLP articles. JarrahTree 08:30, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
No its not me it's for someone who is at my university whose findings will give us a new quantum physics division hopefully. I found verifiable information RE career that attests to why the individual chose to focus on Defence related quantum physics, hence the soon to be included 'Celalettin-Field Quantum Observation Tunnel' which is why I would like the article up. I have WP:RS in the APS gazette (WP:BLP articles) and found the individual on the Australian computer science website for which you needed to have completed that degree among others. The heavy focus on Defence will feed into the background of the tunnel, Alex
- The draft article is no-where near what would be accepted by editors who have capacity to understand the maths and physics. The threshold and V and N requirements are such, that it does not meet them.
- You have been given links for guidelines that are required for a valid WP:BLP to survive as an article.
- There are guidelines that are required for WP:V - and they do not include things by association.
- To include AKA's that are unverified in any way is a real problem.
- There a considerable issues with claiming to be something - there needs to be a good set of items in researchgate, or similar university utlised databases - 2 articles or so is nothing. You really are wasting time - yours and others if you think you can meet the guidelines so far, from what you have entered so far. You really need a lot more material that is specifically over the threshold... JarrahTree 08:52, 23 December 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice JarrahTree - I'll just delete everything I added as I seem to be making it worse and don't appreciate being spoken to like I am a fool
- Not the case - your are quite wrong - it is always very difficult to get a handle on how wikipedia works for new users... what you self identify depends on you, if i have repeated myself too many times on the specific policies that I see as being the problem for your edits so far - my apologies.
