Barbican, breweries, beer, burial sites, buildings, Blitz, blame, and a box
You should probably take your notice off if you have moved on to something else. Uncle G (talk) 17:09, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- Other people still seemed to be working on it, including you. You should probably move Genuine Beer Brewery to its own article with a summary in Golden Lane as it is overhelming that article. Philafrenzy (talk) 17:57, 5 March 2022 (UTC)

Internet Archive Scholar vs. JSTOR
Hello, I see on your user page that you use JSTOR and I'd like to know more about your experience. By my calculations, a good 70 % of the main JSTOR content is now available for everyone at Internet Archive Scholar, with full text search provided e.g. at https://scholar.archive.org/ . The service is still in beta, but I've used it for some source-finding and it seems quite usable to me; I wonder whether that's just my experience. If you have a chance, the next time you'd be looking for a source on Google Scholar or JSTOR or similar, to perform the same search on IA scholar instead, I'd be curious to hear how it ends up. Thanks, Nemo 19:05, 22 March 2022 (UTC)

Can you and @Edwardx: help here...not sure how to proceed. Can the image be of the original cover [1]? dyk with an image tomorrow. I have read the whole book twice... very moving.... bit emotional... Whispyhistory (talk) 17:59, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- The link goes to an odd page. Which is the true first edition? The British Library only have the Indian one. They probably won't use the cover at DYK anyway. The lead is too short, the synopsis needs to be trimmed and broken up. The reception section is far too short. You need to add several more reviews along with a summary of what the reviewers said. The subject of the article is the book. Avoid making it into a mini biography of Khan. Philafrenzy (talk) 20:08, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
- All good advice. Nothing more to add. The only thing to add is that is always a good idea to give a link to the article (but not in the heading), namely Spy Princess. Never seen a "Major Lance corporal" before - seems a rather odd rank! Edwardx (talk) 21:26, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

- Much improved. "eight contains several photographs"? Chapter eight? Still needs more reviews and critical commentary. Philafrenzy (talk) 09:01, 16 July 2022 (UTC)

DYK for Walter Heck
On 21 July 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Walter Heck, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Walter Heck. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Walter Heck), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Indian coal mining women
Thank you for your efforts on Indian women in war. A direction pleace?? Thanks for bringing to my attention. Were they recruited from starving Bengal famine individuals? Whispyhistory (talk) 21:23, 21 July 2022 (UTC)

Hi, hope all is well. Since I nominated one of articles you created this morning, I’ve noticed that you have added and expanded the article. First and foremost, thank you for edits to improve the page. However, are you still intending to edit it further, seeing as the construction tag still remains. I have commented on the discussion that I am considering withdrawing my AFD earlier today after I saw some edits being made, and I am willing to do this unless you have an objection to this.
That being said, thank you again for beginning to expand Southampton Archives. Fats40boy11 (talk) 14:38, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- I will see what I can find. Most of those archives have important but little used and known collections. Philafrenzy (talk) 21:48, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- I completely understand that and I’d like to thank you for your efforts your putting into the page to expand it. I think it’s safe to say that the page is in a better condition then it was just a day ago already.
- Also, I have withdrawn the AFD and just waiting for an admin. Worst case scenario, the article could always be merged if information is hard to come by, but I’m don’t think that would be the case for now. Fats40boy11 (talk) 14:13, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
The article Henry Thomas Birch Reynardson has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
This person was an officer in a light infantry unit. Even when we had the military notability guidelines this would not have been enough to show notability. Now that we do not have such guidelines it is not even remotely close to enough to justify inclusion
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any of your contributions for deletion; please refer to the history of each individual page for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 09:01, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
The article John Jarvis-Smith has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Non notable shipbroker, not featured heavily in multiple sources bar the Telegraph recipient of a distinguished service award which between 1901 and 2016 had 6.5k+ recipients showing that although not common is not significant enough as an award/honour.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Stuart Neil
Hello Philafrenzy,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Stuart Neil for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!
