Restoring deleted article about CUBA Platform
[edit]Hello. I'm writing you about restoring the deleted article https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Haulmont. As it is mentioned in instructions https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Deletion_review, firstly I'm writing you as a closing administrator. Our community has doubled within two months and is still growing. What do you think, can we restore article about CUBA Platform?--E.lavrenkov (talk) 08:55, 28 June 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, thanks for contacting me. Could you provide some examples of independent reliable sources showing that CUBA meets the notability criteria? Please note that press releases, paid-for articles, etc, are not counted as reliable. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 22:39, 29 June 2016 (UTC)
- These sources published information about CUBA without any suggestions:

- Thanks for those. I have looked at them, and here is what I find:
- Road-to-cuba : a blog, these are generally not considered reliable;
- Jaxenter (1), open-source-guide: from the way that this reads, it seems to be based on a press release from the company, although I could be wrong there it is certainly how it reads to me
- heise: "The Java framework CUBA Platform is now available as open source. The associated CUBA Studio for developing enterprise applications for the platform remains a commercial product, but which is free of charge for smaller projects." - this is a 'routine' announcement of a product release, and not indepth coverage of the subject
- Jaxenter (2), cloudfoundry, vaadin: This details an example of how to use CUBA within Docker/on Cloud Foundry/vaadin (the vaadin is also a blog)... not indepth coverage of the subject itself
- sd times: when I first opened this, I thought it looked good - and then I realised that only the first two paragraphs are about CUBA, and is a brief report of CUBA's presentation at JavaOne 2015 - not indepth coverage of the system itself
- stackoverflow: this is a question-and-answer forum; such venues are generally not considered to be independent reliable sources
- alernativeto: this is a list of alternatives to CUBA, not indepth coverage of CUBA itself
- I am afraid that in my opinion, none of the above (even in combination) meets the requirements of independent, reliable, indepth coverage of the subject, and as such you have not indicated sufficiently that CUBA meets the notability criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia, which was the reason why the company and the Cuba articles were deleted following the discussion at AfD. You are welcome to take this to Deletion Review, to see if there is a consensus there to recreate the article, but from what I can see there just is not the justification to do so at this time. Thank you for contacting me. PhantomSteve/talk|contribs\ 23:08, 5 July 2016 (UTC)
