Helping hand
Hope that helps! One Night In Hackney303 00:14, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Oh I know how persistent he is. A few months ago I had to go all the way up through the vandal warnings on each sockpuppet to get them blocked, now more admins are familiar with him he gets blocked on sight luckily. One Night In Hackney303 00:21, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
An Odd Question
On the userboxes some of us have, it says our contribs to Wikipedia. Mine says "This user has made over 300 contributions to Wikipedia." at the moment. The numbers I am getting are from this link that is added into the userbox.
My question is, using that link, are my total contribs just the mainspace edits number (which is 299...close enough to 300) or the total edits number (which is close to 1100). That is where I am slightly confused. I personally think it is the 299...since talk page edits don't a contribution make. Thanks for your help....NeutralHomer T:C 02:45, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Cool, that helps:) Many thanks....NeutralHomer T:C 22:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Sweet Sharon, you are as kind and wonderful as ever. When I logged in and saw your lovely message this morning, I was like "What on earth...." Hi, you asked for assistance. How can I help you? --Ekeb 14:13, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Attacking my personal page,.. insulting!!
Could u plz take a look how the user Gerash77 is doing noxious edits in my personal page, like here [1], that has been a second unjustified attack that folowed this one [2]
Would u plz notice that he is using uncivil language: "why are you trying to bring your "mummy" into discussion". Why should I assume good faith with such uncivil user insisting to destroy (and insult) rather than build up? I'm waiting for a legal action against him due to his intentional and repeated vandalising in my personal Talk Page, and his impolite insults. Ralhazzaa 15:25, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- I just reviewed that. One seems to be as bad as the other. Gerash77 seems to have quit Wikipedia, so my suggestion is that Ralhazzaa manage his own talk page as he pleases. Samsara (talk • contribs) 15:29, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

And I just saw the result of my RfA, and was, obviously, disappointed, but I thank you for your positive encouragement. I'll just use this time to keep working, and become a better editor, possibly being nominated for an RfA at a later time. hmwithtalk 04:15, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for taking care of the troll Roosaa and semi-protecting my user page. I have a feeling that it might be the Italian vandal (Johnny the Vandal), as that vandal recently started trolling Jack Phoenix and I on Wikia, Wikimedia (prev. cases), and other wikis (probably due to our administrative/antivandalism actions on Wikia). Several checkuser queries on those wikis indicate Italian IP addresses (inc. 87.'s and 82.'s). Seems like he's not about to give up soon... G.He 18:12, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Dear Phaedriel
This might well be the first time I've stumbled across your user and user talk pages since your happy news. I wish you and yours all the warmth, hope, and love I possibly could in the many good months and years ahead, and the trust in the fact that I, along with so many others, missed seeing you around for all the time since you were otherwise occupied.
All the best to you and yours. Bobo. 20:38, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Your help is politely requested
Could you please have a word with User:A Man In Black and User:Calton. I don't want to go through the same fight over the same "reliable sources" nonsense again on the KXGN-TV page. I put down a source, it is wiped out by User:A Man In Black as not reliable. When a site gets their information directly from the TV station itself, it is as reliable as you can get. Then I get a nice rude message from User:Calton. Him and I have history, hence why I changed my username. I moved from one name to another to get away from him and of course he is back. I play by the rules, source what is asked with the best source I can find and am insulted and berated from an admin and, sorry to say, his croney. Could you please have a word with these two. I don't want to have to change my username a third time. Many thanks....NeutralHomer T:C 22:07, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

- Hey, I appericate whatever help you have given with User:Calton (another admin cleared him of any wrongdoing on a WikiAlert page, not made by me), so there is no need to continue there.
- I probably jumped the gun with User:A Man In Black. Him and I have never seen eye to eye on how the TV station sections should be run. I think they should have a nice logo section, as much info as possible (within Wikirules)...he sees it as no logos (fair-use problems), info is good but not as much as some of the pages. That is where we don't see eye to eye and it does cause problems. We did argue alot once, but I think we both stepped back for a moment and have kinda worked together, even with our different opinions.
- But I appericate your help. Now, back to the world of TV and Radio. Take Care.....NeutralHomer T:C 10:21, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi Phaedriel, can I request your trained admin's eye for a moment? - This has happened a few times before. :) I think this is about the sixth time I've known this to occur. Thanks for your reply - you are the "Queen," because you have such impeccable self-control and a near-divine character, which is why I asked for your advice. (P.S. - no apologies needed for delays in responding. Real life comes first :)
I am a bit disappointed that people look at this in terms of an "Indian" problem. It is true that most do not know which version of facts to trust, but nobody should think that this is anything particularly "Indian" or solely affecting the Indian editors. What I did, I had to do for Wikipedia - if a particular group of editors are ripped apart, that should reveal more about the seriousness of the issue and the importance of leaving one's background out of things. NPOV cannot be achieved if people keep thinking on these lines - these national and religious boundaries are meaningless. Besides, I have a strongly American heart and soul, which gives me the strength to be who I am and do the right thing, no matter how many would hate me.
Listening to what you said gives me more courage and peace of mind. Going 6 to 1 against a bunch of vicious trolls can make one do disgusting things, so I just wanted to talk a bit to know if I had actually demeaned myself. I feel much better now, although I am ready for a bit of a vacation from Wikipedia. Thanks again, Rama's arrow (just a sexy boy) 13:36, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Please help
Hi Phaedriel, sorry to hear you're melancholic today.
A lot of editors, myself included, have ongoing WP:CIVIL problems with User:Calton. Calton misuses his position to exact personal vengence. He harrasses, abuses, then garners a lot of support from others, including admins, for this purpose. Many users are leaving because of it. I am on my way to becoming another departee. I reported him to the ICC.
User 71.139.18.27/Griot keeps reverting and WP:SOCK on the Ralph Nader article. He also vandalizes other users' pages. Calton and Griot work together to revert changes and delete articles that users who oppose them contribute to.
Thank you, if there is anything you can do, I think I've done all I can. Thanks. -- 76.166.123.129 21:46, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

William Welch protection
I'm not sure if you're totally informed about the whole JB196 sockpuppetry case, but he's been using sleepers for quite a while now. At first I was going to semi-protect a whole list of pages (around 20 or so), but I realized that he has dozens of sleepers that he will constantly bring back to edit war on wrestling articles. Anyway, I know you said the full protection was temporary, but I thought you might want to know more about this whole sockpuppetry case. Thanks, Nishkid64 (talk) 22:01, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- Also, archiving your talk page might be necessary :-P. Nishkid64 (talk) 22:02, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

- Yeah, that was another reason why the pages were left unprotected. If the pages were protected, it would stop JB196 temporarily. After unprotection, he'd just be back to his old fun and games. Nishkid64 (talk) 22:06, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

- The unfree Images of your favorite bands, movies, people, etc. Those Images are not used under Fair Use if they are placed on your userspace. See WP:FU
- The "warning" to users not to edit your userpage, because it doesn't belong to you, it belongs to the community here at Wikipedia, and telling others not to edit because it's yours is incorrect.

- The first message says that images that are used under the "fair use" license cannot be displayed on userpage at all. This is a rule set down not by Moe, but by the Wikimedia Foundation. The rule can be seen at WP:FUC, mainly section 9. Second, Moe is right. Each user on Wikipedia has a userpage, but it doesn't fully belong to them. Wikipedia has rules on what can be said in userpages and rules on what happens to userpages if they fail to follow the rules. WIkipedia:Userpage is the policy you should read. - What my friend Zscout comments and suggests is right, dear Duran; I've explained it in detail to you at your talk page. Have a beautiful day! Phaedriel - 06:33, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

The angel I had hoped for,
In 1953?
Ah yes.
I can tell,
and I wish you well.
My love......................
