Peer review for Korkoro
I found that you have got a number of Good Articles to your credit. I listed Korkoro for a peer review with a view to improve it before a GAN. Would you be free enough to look into it? Thanks. morelMWilliam 10:24, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- You don't have to hurry at all. :) morelMWilliam 16:00, 13 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hi! Could you review the changes I made after your comments? Thanks a lot for pointing them out. Could you help me with that awkward paragraphing issue? It might not look awkward to me as I am too involved with the article at the moment to put on the reviewer's glasses.morelMWilliam 11:14, 15 July 2011 (UTC)
Mimi's bio
Nat, I was looking through the legacy section of the Mimi bio, to add an information (which I found already present). However, while reading I found that some of the sentences were really fluffery and fancrufty. Would you like me to take a detailed look and cut the fluff back? — Legolas (talk2me) 13:27, 14 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hey Avi. Sure! "Legacy" sections are definitely your specialty, and I trust you will do it to the best of your abilities. I sooner of later will need to totally re-do the bio page (its a mess) so you fixing up and making a Madonna worthy legacy section would be appreciated and awesome. Thanks! :D--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 19:53, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Dreamlover (song)
After reviewing the article, I have decided to put the article on hold at this time. For comments see: Talk:Dreamlover (song)/GA2. - Rp0211 (talk2me) 05:58, 14 July 2011 (UTC)

Good Article promotion
Congratulations! | |
Thanks for all the work you did in making Dreamlover (song) a certified "Good Article"! Your work is much appreciated.
In the spirit of celebration, you may wish to review one of the Good Article nominees that someone else nominated, as there is currently a backlog, and any help is appreciated. All the best, – Quadell (talk) |
- Thank you very much for the recognition :) It means a lot! Oh yes, I do participate in the GAN backlog, not to worry! :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 16:28, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi Orane :) Hope you are doing well since we last spoke! So TEOM is now GA (I know, proud moment for both of us :D) and I believe, complete. I've nominated it for a peer review before I take it to the gruesome FAC, so please if you can, come and make as many constructive mentions to better the article as possible. Thanks so much anyway! :)--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 23:52, 18 July 2011 (UTC)
- Amazing article. Yes, we're very proud =). My minor concerns are listed on the page. Orane (talk) 03:20, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- A note about your sources: only actual newspaper sources (or the online versions of actual newspapers) should use the cite news template. NBC, CBC, MTV etc should not use it. Orane (talk) 10:11, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
- One last thing: not to add to your worries, but the UK albums and singles charts are published by The Official Charts Company, not the BPI (although the BPI owns part of the OCC. (Consider: UK album chart=Billboard 200; Official Chart Company=Prometheus Global Media; BPI=RIAA). Good luck, bud. Will give more help after my exam tomorrow. Been procrastinating all night while I should be studying. Orane (talk) 10:40, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

DFAU
Hey :) I thought you were mad at me lol :D Well, I searched through the archives, and to my surprise there aren't any good reviews :O What I found: Songs like Shake It Off and Don’t Forget About Us cop the jittery R&B vibe that made Destiny’s Child so potent., ballad, "Don't Forget About Us," that is already doing what Ms. Carey has been doing all year long: ascending the pop charts., a "gentle ballad", The only thorough review, Article comparing "WBT", "DFAU" and "Bye Bye", Live review :( Then there's the about.com review... That's all I could find. I even tried TEOM Ultra Plat. reviews... Novice7 (talk) 06:58, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks! Yeah, for delaying CB :D The only section I find a bit difficult is the Dev. and Rec. section. Others were fine, but a thorough ce should be done. Btw, "Say Somethin'" looks great! Candy has already added something to "Shake It Off" (don't know what happened to him!) and remaining songs are "It's Like That" (Avi said he would work on this) and "Get Your Number". I thought of starting a page for "Mine Again" (such a beautiful song), but then dropped the idea... Novice7 (talk) 07:48, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Lol I didn't know you were stalking my sandbox :P Ah, it's great to know someone is stalking my Wiki sandboxes :D As for post-2005 Mimi, yes I don't like her (only her music). But, "Mine Again" is a good song :) "WBT" would benefit from a rewrite and then a PR. As for the tour articles, well, ehem.. [1], Rainbow tour. Completely unrelated: Something about Glitter, [2], [3] :) Novice7 (talk) 10:51, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- As for "Without You", I'm sure you'll get enough material :) Did you try Nilson and Badfinger bios? Novice7 (talk) 11:00, 17 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well, Confessions Tour uses a similar source. I love Mimi as a person! She's one of my idols :D Her music, yes... Btw, is the Irresistible review ready? Novice7 (talk) 03:57, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Sure, I'll upload a snapshot :) But, do you seriously want me to include her body? (The only part I can see during the pool scene is her leg lol). Maybe a face shot? Novice7 (talk) 04:40, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I have uploaded a screenshot: File:Mariah Don't Forget About Us.jpg. I didn't take this one actually... As for Monroe, I think it would be fine to include screenshot from SGTV. The samples. I don't think we can reduce the length or quality online. We'll have to upload a new version of the sample :( Novice7 (talk) 06:10, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

GA reviews
I just saw that the last few GA updates of the MIMI project were all done by Calvin999. Well that's fine until it gets a little out of hand and WP:BIAS since he is a part of the Wikiproject. You know we have had these problems before also, even in FAC, so notifying you. You have the onus of rejecting his review if you would like a different perspective. I think Calvin is doing more out of good faith and shher excitement of reviewing (good for him), but just that, don't let things go out of hand. — Legolas (talk2me) 09:53, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, he did review the last 3 or 4 of them. Even though he may be part of the Wikiproject, I really am the only one who is truly involved (Mags a little too) in her articles, just as you are pretty much the sole Madonna over-hauler. While I see your point, note that he has failed one of my articles before, and I believe him to really do his best on the reviews, even asking him before to be extra careful. In the past, I can recall issues of swapping reviews, and direct Beyonce editors reviewing each others nominations; I don't view this as the same.--CallMeNathan • Talk2Me 14:49, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Spent all morning doing a search for you. Found it! May be an inconvenience to write it out, but you gotta do what you gotta do =) . Going back to studying. Orane (talk) 19:29, 19 July 2011 (UTC) PS:Yes, I'm awesome like that... :D Orane (talk) 19:36, 19 July 2011 (UTC)
I says here at {{citenews}} at Template:Citenews#Essential_parameters for the date parameter: "date: Date of publication. To avoid ambiguity, write out the month in words, using the same date format as in the main text of the article..."
- For location, you're supposed to have a "|location=Los Angeles" parameter in the news template field. Again, it says on the page, "location: Place of publication, e.g., Toronto for The Globe and Mail. Should be included if the city of publication is not part of the name of the newspaper. For student newspapers, include the name of the school." The location is one of the parameters listed under the optional list of parameters, but I've seen people make a fuss at FAC before, under the reasoning that featured articles, being examples of the best, should have every detail corrected. If you go here and look at refs 134 or 136, you'll see how it should look (I'm just starting to put them in) Personally, I like the location parameter. Orane (talk) 02:23, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- I hate to give you more trouble, but I know of at least a couple FAC reviewers who are strict about this: Wikipedia:Music_samples. Currently, your samples don't adhere to this, and you may need to change them, unfortunately. None of the samples should be more than 64 kbps, and since the songs in the article are short, your samples should not be more than about 20-22 seconds. Nikkimaria spoke of this in the peer review page. Orane (talk) 02:41, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- If you don't hate me yet for being a pain, I'll just let you know that per Wikipedia:WikiProject_Albums/Article_body, the personnel should be lowercase (they're written with capitals in TEOM). Orane (talk) 07:01, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Hey bud. Don't know if you were getting to it, but I thought I'd just remind you that the personnel section remains incomplete- none of the engineers, assistant engineers, mixers, audio master-er, found at the "credits" section of the link I gave you, have been added. And don't forget the audio samples. If you were getting to them, then disregard my reminder :). Orane (talk) 02:24, 21 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I have changed the link in the MIMI article. All French certifications are here http://www.disqueenfrance.com/fr/pag-259165-CERTIFICATIONS.html (SNEP). First you should choose the year (1994-2010) and later the certification. There is no source for TEOM sales in France. Infodisc only estimates sales but its not official. Hi
Hi Nathan. It's been so long. How are you? What's new in life? Still working hard on you Mimi articles? Hey look at this thoroughly. I see some else rather than Mimi. Concentrate and tell me. Jivesh • Talk2Me 14:01, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- Yes i am fine. I had exams in June and the first two weeks of July. I have other ones in August, starting as of the 4th. YEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS you read my mind. LOL. She looks strangely like Yonka. Look at the picture again. I mean, her legs and especially how she has her face up, And Mimi looks quite thin on that. I like her a lot on that picture. Jivesh • Talk2Me 16:38, 20 July 2011 (UTC)
- That's because TEOM artwork is airbrushed beyond belief! lol Calvin • 999 22:27, 20 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi there! You might not remember but several months ago you asked if I could help out with MCs articles. I declined as I wasn't on here too much, but even when I did start to edit here a lot I still didn't help out and now that I won't be here much I probably never will. I'm so sorry about that =(. Emancipation of Mimi
I've had a quick look and left some comments at the PR, but I'm a bit pressed and can't do much more than look at the lead for the moment. I've left some detailed comments on the prose and made some suggestions. I hope it helps. I apologise if they seem harsh, but I looked at it from a FAC viewpoint and I've tried to explain my reasoning. I think it needs a bit of copy-editing and polish, but I think it's just a case of improving what is there. Try to get as many copyeditors and prose people to have a look as you can while it is at PR and before it goes to FAC. The level of research and detail is impressive and I wish you luck! --Sarastro1 (talk) 23:30, 24 July 2011 (UTC)
- The guild can be a little hit and miss, but is worth a try. The best copy-editors tend to be too busy to help out with general requests; I would suggest keeping an eye on PR and FAC to see who is good and available. --Sarastro1 (talk) 16:58, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Sure, we'll do. --Efe (talk) 14:35, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
