2017–18 West Bromwich Albion F.C. season
[edit]It is important that the information in a Wikipedia article is consistent with its sources. If you change a transfer fee from "Undisclosed" to a value (e.g. £13m), please also add a citation to say where you got that information from. The transfer info in 2017–18 West Bromwich Albion F.C. season now says one thing whereas the sources used say something different, which is very confusing for readers. --Jameboy (talk) 15:49, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Virgil van Dijk, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 21:25, 27 December 2017 (UTC)
Hi Peilin99, Greetings. Pls note that your creation of 2018 Changchun Yatai F.C. season has been moved to Draft:2018 Changchun Yatai F.C. season. Content added/edited in Wikipedia needs "inline citation" from independent (third party / secondary / tertiary) reliable source (in any language) for verification to gauge the nobility criteria is met. The articles's inline citation is the WP:BURDEN which it is on the person adding the information. Please note official website, records of sport events or individual player records are consider primary source and not independent source, and social network source such as facebook, twitter, instagram, imbd and etc are considered NOT reliable source and can not be used for citing. Independent reliable source are sources are those obtain from major newspaper, such as The Guardian, Sydney Morning Herald, CNN news and etc. or source obtain from major publisher of the work (for example, Random House or Cambridge University Press). Pls see
- reliable source - see WP:RS
- primary vs secondary vs tiartiary source - see WP:WPNOTRS
- verification - see WP:V
- notability - see WP:N
- webcite - see WP:CITEWEB and its template -see Template: cite web
Once you have provided inline citations, you could move back the page to "article" to resubmit. Lastly, I strongly encourage you to visit WP:The Wikipedia Adventure for there some short and fun exercises on neutrality, verifiability, collaboration, research and sourcing. Thank you. [edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Steve Heighway, you may be blocked from editing. Mattythewhite (talk) 20:20, 13 December 2020 (UTC)
I didn't do any disruptive editing, if you look at the source Heighway did win 5 league titles including the one in 1980.

[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Jordan Pickford. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:46, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Jordan Henderson, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Unsourced content. Mattythewhite (talk) 22:54, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Your recent editing history at Wu Lei shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See the bold, revert, discuss cycle for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. [edit]Please understand that, when you make changes or additions to a biography of a living person, you must add a reference to a reliable published source that verifies your change or addition. It doesn't matter that it's "fact" that Martin Taylor is Caleb Taylor's father, you need to add a source to verify that at the same time as you add the content. If it's "fact", it shouldn't be difficult for you to find one.
I've done it for you on this occasion, but please don't keep ignoring what people say to you. Thank you. Struway2 (talk) 10:42, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for adding it for me, however I'm sure there're nicer, less intimidating and condescending ways to talk to people who're trying their best to make information on wikipedia more complete, and it shouldn't be difficult for you to find one. Peilin99 (talk) 11:26, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thing is, when I arrive at a talk page and find that its owner has been previously blocked and repeatedly advised about and warned for the same thing, I don't find it so easy to maintain the good faith I arrived with. You're right though, it's no justification for an uncollegial tone, and I'll try to remember that going forward. Struway2 (talk) 11:48, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for your understanding. Most of the times if there's a formal report of the event I always add sources to the text, for instance a transfer announcement or a match report etc, however the only time I was blocked from editing, I found it incredibly unfair. If you follow football you'll know that if a player's contract with a club expires he automatically becomes a free agent so I just deleted the player's current club information, how could I possibly source it when a player becomes free agent? There'll be no report of that, it just happens...Anyway, I've made over 1000 edits since 2017, especially upon the Chinese football related contents, so many Chinese and foreign players' information and statistics had not been updated for years before I stepped in. I don't get paid a single penny for my continued efforts, I did them purely because of my passion on football and my wish to help people who may find them useful. I'm proud of myself doing them, and I hope they mean something to other people. That's why I might not particularly appreciate the tone in the previous message, but that's all past now...I hope you enjoy the rest of your day. Peilin99 (talk) 14:08, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

[edit]The issue isn't that the content is unrefefence (although that is a problem, and I can see that you have been warned for this multiple times before). The issue is that the content you are adding is not notable. We are an encyclopedia, not a sorts almanac. GiantSnowman 11:29, 25 March 2023 (UTC)

- If you look at reference 43, which was already added before my edit, Juventus had inserted a link called 'press release' which specifically indicated the transfer fee and length of contract for this transfer. I don't understand why that was 'unsourced or poorly sourced material', this is extremely clearly sourced information. Peilin99 (talk) 18:18, 1 July 2023 (UTC)
- I don't know why you consistently sabotage my content, I told you if you open the link for reference 43 you'll see the club has attached a document called 'press release' which very clearly indicates a transfer fee for €10.3 million. The structure of Italian clubs makes them compulsory to publicate that information, so it's not 'undisclosed fee' in the first place. Could you please listen to people before calling their justified edit 'persistent vandalism'? Peilin99 (talk) 18:28, 1 July 2023 (UTC)

2024 Chinese Super League table moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to 2024 Chinese Super League table. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 03:04, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hello, I don't understand the decision as the table directly comes from the main page of '2024 Chinese Super League', which has a perfectly good source of soccerway. It's a live table and changes every week with the results of the games, and I need this template for my 2024 Changchun Yatai page. Peilin99 (talk) 21:38, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
- You can do a command like this: (see source code from this section to see how I did it; it essentially allows you to access any league table without creating a template) and if there's multiple league tables in an article, you can do so by adding a transclusion to the specific section (just need to find the section name in the source code from the article itself, or designate one yourself) to the template.

- How was it 'unconstructive edits'?? Before my edit the information appeared chaotic and incomplete, I made significant improvements to make the page much more organized. Peilin99 (talk) 16:45, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- The way you have constantly sabotaged my edit is borderline racism. If you revert my edit again I'll have to consider calling the police. Peilin99 (talk) 17:06, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

Or I'll do whatever I can to fight you on this!!! You have a little tiny bit of power and the way you abuse them is just truly disgusting. Peilin99 (talk) 17:13, 5 July 2024 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hello, I know I appear emotional and I do apologize for it. However, this user 'GiantSnowman' constantly picks up on me and sabotages my edit. Jovan Malcolm is a player who used to play for the team I support and I know his career track fairly well, the informtion is his page before my edit was incomplete and fairly chaotic in terms of his first team career and loan spells interwinding with each other. I added key information including his first team debut and league debut, deleting redundant information such as 'being linked away...in 2019', and added valid references and catalogue to make the page look much more organized. I think every single person except 'GiantSnowman' would agree I made the page a better version. However he just keeps reverting my edit without giving any reasonable explanation, him saying 'can't see any benefit' does not constitute a good explanation at all. I'm just so extremely furious at this, the way he communicates with other editors suggest very clearly how arrogant and condescending he is to almost everymore. I'm deeply offended by this and when I talked to other people they suggest it could be just because of racism. Please look at the situation reasonably and unblock me. I have been constantly contributing to Wikipedia for more than 6 years, especially to the area of Chinese football. You just cannot let someone with such an amount of contribution like myself be blocked indefinitely because of some arrogant dictator like him.
Decline reason:
I'm surprised you hoped an unblock request like this would succeed. Rather than addressing your legal threats, you launch personal attacks, accusing an editor of racism and an editor (or an admin, this is unclear) of being a dictator. I'll warn you, another request like this and you'll almost certainly lose talk page access. Yamla (talk) 18:17, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
- Because you were in dispute with me in relation to an article, you accused me of racism and repeatedly threatened to call the police. Now in your unblock request you have repeated your allegations of racism and also called me an "arrogant dictator". You are clearly not fit to edit and I suggest the reviewing admin rejects your unblock request. GiantSnowman 18:12, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
