Testing my own talk page. Paul wainwright photography (talk) 19:55, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Paul, thanks, but I have been only one of several editors there. I am not sure which direction is best; edit and expand existing article with a section particularly about colonial meetings houses, or a separate article, and a link to it in the present "main" article the way mouth-house presently does. Sometimes when too many articles about a subject are created editors will propose merging.

I went to your site. Nice work! I am curious if you've been to some of the Vermont ones? (My home state). I am not sure how generous you are feeling, as a fine arts photographer, in putting our images here, but it would be great. Low resolution probably wouldn't be too big a risk. the thing is if we post here the images mostly become uncontrollable. Still, if you were willing, a gallery (easy to set up) could be nice. Speedy deletion of Colonial meeting house

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Colonial meeting house requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Paul, I declined the speedy deletion of this page, since you seem to be the owner of the website where it came from - however, it would be helpful if you could send an email from an address with that domain to permissions@wikimedia.org - giving your permission to use the text here on Wikipedia. In the meantime, I changed the article a bit so that it isn't a direct copy.. (I liked the old version better!).. it would be nice to be able to change it back.. but I'll need that email first. --Versageek 16:14, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your upload of File:Box pews Alna ME.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks!
