Information icon Hello, I'm LaundryPizza03. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Magnesium have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 09:04, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You are adding references incorrectly. You're supposed to use the markup <ref>Details of reference</ref>, as explained at Help:Referencing for beginners. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 09:06, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

January 2024

[edit]

Hello, I'm DreamRimmer. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Barbados because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. – DreamRimmer (talk) 08:43, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to ColecoVision. Wikipedia is not a collection of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links may include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 08:17, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Continuing problems with citations

[edit]

As explained above in December, your attempts to add citations to articles are not done properly. I am sure you are trying to help, but the attempted references you are posting are having to be reverted by other editors, which takes them away from other work. Please read the guidelines about how to add references to articles, and don't try to do it until you know how to do it properly. Adding references to articles can be quite confusing for someone new to doing it, and my advice is not to try doing it until you have significantly more experience of editing. If you continue to do it wrongly, you may be blocked from editing by an administrator, to prevent damage. JBW (talk) 10:08, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The page User:PaulDRamkissoon/sandbox has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seemed to be unambiguous advertising which only promoted a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to have been fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Please do not recreate the material without addressing these concerns, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If you think this page should not have been deleted for this reason, or you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. could you kindly assist me in knowing what led to the deletion since i followed all the guidelines necessary to create the submission. PaulDRamkissoon (talk) 11:34, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You clearly need to read the guidelines again, your draft was rejected and deleted as unambiguous advertising which only promoted a person. Theroadislong (talk) 11:58, 26 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do not handle administrative duties over email unless there is an overriding policy concern. Please keep all of your communication with me on-wiki. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 11:32, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
