Good day,
A page was created and added to wikipedia for a signed singer song writer who is also a member of ASCAP and has written songs for various entertainers. Shortly after a message was received from Jarrah Tree that the page will be deleted. Here's the link; https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Pascalle the log in that it was created under was PascalleMusic however, it is not a self written article, and this artist should not be penalized in this manner. Kindly assist me in rectifying this issue. I look forward to hearing from you.(unsigned)
You have a grievance about basic article reviewing - you can always try to deal with it at WP:OTRS
- Try this - the name of this user account = Pascallemusic
- Subject of the article = Pascalle Amy Smith
- The way that any first review works is the match between the two
- See also WP:COI - the user and the article are linked.
- Either change the user name - or maybe read WP:SPA, WP:SPAM and WP:SOAPBOX
The artist is not being penalised - this is an online encyclopedia and requires editors of articles to match principles arising from WP:ABOUT and WP:NOT
- The article remains intact, however it has insufficient WP:RS to establish WP:N for a WP:BLP - so dont pick on the reviewing editor - look for what you can do to get the article finished to survive further review JarrahTree 11:35, 27 December 2016 (UTC).
Not picking on the editor, please don't take it that way. When the user name was created originally it was confused with what I assumed the page name would be. Obviously, I'm new to this and it's a bit confusing. I would prefer changing the user name as I would I like to contribute more to wikipedia. I will look at the links you sent and hopefully I can figure out how to change the user name. Pascallemusic (talk) 11:48, 27 December 2016 (UTC) Pascallemusic
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Pascallemusic, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you created appears to be an article about yourself. This is a common mistake made by new Wikipedians—as this is an encyclopedia, we wouldn't expect to have an article about every contributor. Your user page, however, is a great place to write about yourself, making sure to stay within user page guidelines. Just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit it normally.
The page you created about yourself may well be deleted from the encyclopedia. If it is deleted and you wish to retrieve its contents, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

Changing User Name
[edit]{{help me}}
I'm trying to find the area where I can change the user name, but I'm really lost. Can you kindly tell me how I can accomplish that? I would like the name changed to either JonBethel333 or StarChild33. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pascallemusic (talk • contribs) 12:03, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
Once you have decided on the name you would like:
- Read this page first. You must be aware of, and understand, all of that information before requesting a username change
- Check to make sure this username is not already in use. Do this by searching for the name here. If the name appears in the results, even if on another Wikimedia project, it is taken.
- Do not create an account under the new name or move/redirect your userpages. We'll do that for you.
- Log in with your present username in order to place your request. Renames will not be approved if the requester is not logged in.
- Click here to place your request.
- Add your desired username after
NEW=
- Add a reason for the change after
REASON=
- Do not add anything in the "subject/headline" box
- Add your desired username after
- Make sure that you have spelt your desired name correctly, including capitalization and spacing. Save the page.
- Users with many edits should log out of their accounts to ensure the rename is carried out properly.
- Check back on this page periodically to answer any questions that may arise regarding your request. Please be patient. It may take a few days for your request to be completed. If you do not answer any questions, your request may be declined due to no response.
- Once your request has been completed, please do not remove or mar your request. It will be archived automatically by a bot.
Do not be surprised if you suddenly cannot log in to your old account; this merely indicates that you should log in under your new user name as the request has been fulfilled.
Hope this helps. Avicennasis @ 12:24, 27 Kislev 5777 / 12:24, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Pascalle
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Pascalle, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. I Contest the deletion of the page I created.
[edit]Randykitty I've already explained it to Jarrahtree, The page was created for an accomplished artist. When the account was created with the user name PascalleMusic we thought that we initially needed to put the name of the page we intended on creating. It would be a pity to have a page deleted for an artist that's A) not already on wiki, and b) is indirectly the one being penalized. JarrahTree explained that it's due to the username connection in conjunction with the page created, and I've been searching to see how to change the user name seeing that I would like to continue writing other articles. Kindly do not remove the post. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pascallemusic (talk • contribs) 12:23, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
- When you contest something with an article, you do it on the talk page of that article, not yours. I've copied your comment over to Talk:Pascalle for you, and any further discussion about that article should happen there. Avicennasis @ 12:36, 27 Kislev 5777 / 12:36, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you Avicennasis I did not know, I'm learning as I go along. --Pascallemusic (talk) 19:02, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
- You cannot pick who are going to come and make like difficult - luck of the draw - at least avicennasis has the capacity to be conversational - I was trying to explain further above, but edit-conflict happened and the items I had put trying to explain were lost. The main thing with the speedy delete (from where I look at it) lack of WP:RS to ascertain WP:N - when you get the machine speed delete process on top of you it is not so easy - however if you have reasonable sources that can clarify notability - then you can request reviews at any stage of the process - no one belligerent admin is ever the final answer to the loss of an article, btw JarrahTree 00:17, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for the information. I'll just be cautious with future articles. JarrahTree--Pascallemusic (talk) 00:58, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- First create it in your sandbox. There you can even ask other editors for help or advice - or follow 'your first article' instructions without hindrance. JarrahTree 01:05, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
- Avicennasis the page (Pascalle) was deleted again under G11. Claiming no sources, no notability, advertising etc. I believe that foor someone to have a show on a network airing in 20+ countries equates some level of notability. I also requested a user name change. I'm starting to give up on this, because it seems as if I have to patrol the page or else it gets deleted. I can't believe that even though there are valid sources dated back to 2011 (or possibly even further) and other wiki pages that this artist is linked to, it's still not sufficient. I even found that she's even on iheart.com https://www.iheart.com/artist/dj6pac-30628779/songs/party-hard-feat-red-rat-pascalle-38086867/?autoplay=true . Seeing that you're an editor for wiki, what would you suggest? --Pascallemusic (talk) 20:45, 28 December 2016 (UTC)
Dont give up - find your sandbox, create it in there and give it RS to ascertain the N and you then ask for help if you feel stuck JarrahTree 01:56, 29 December 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, thanks for message. I deleted your article because
- it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that she meets the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, as defined in the link, or they will be deleted. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to her, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what she claims or interviewing her. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting
- Only your first sentence has a reference, and that's to a puff written by Team Pascalle. The rest is unsourced and often irrelevant. How do her religious views make her notable. Note that working with notable people doesn't make her notable
- it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: LLC were able to see her talents as a pop singer and as a songwriter
- Your previous user name, PascalleMusic, and comments like we thought that we initially... we intended on creating. indicate that you have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject.
- If you work directly or indirectly for her or her team, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly. Regardless, if you are paid directly or indirectly by the her, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Starchild33. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Starchild33|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.
She may or may not be notable, but for your article to survive, you must have proper in-line references to good sources as described above, see Elvis Presley Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:24, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- Jimfbleak I can not say this any more than I already have. I took the information from websites associated with her hence the "TeamPascalle".
- Secondly, I'm not directly affiliated with this person. The "we" refers to myself and another individual that assisted me in learning how to code on wiki in the first place.
- The initial name PascalleMusic, was simply because when I began the page itself I thought that I had to use the name of the page I wanted to create. I really feel that unless a wiki member themselves write the article it can not work. You all will nit pick every word, every sentence, and it's extremely difficult. I was attempting to do something that I felt strong about, and it's become a nightmare.
- I added references at the bottom of article written.
- I am not an employee, I repeat, I am not an employee, and I do not know her personally whatsoever. I have encountered her when she spoke at my school some time ago, that's it! This does not apply to me; *If you work directly or indirectly for her or her team, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. - I understand that wikipedia has policies, some editors felt like it did not need to be removed, others like yourself feel like it does. At this point, there's nothing I can do. If her being on a television show aired in 20+ countries, appearances on other television shows, published songs, along with all of the other things she's done is not sufficient then I don't know what else to do or say. Changing the literacy for it not to sound advertising I can understand, but some of the things that you're claiming is irrelevant I have personally seen discussed on other artist wiki pages. I will consider attempting to find other notable sources, if not the page can remain down until someone else decides to do it. As I'm a fan I wanted to do something I thought would have been kind for someone that inspired me, but I won't push the issue if it's not possible. --Starchild33 (talk) 19:44, 29 December 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks for your reassurance regarding COI, I'm happy to accept that. The main issue remains the lack of proper third-party references as defined in my first bullet point above. If you really can't find anything not written by her "team" or other non-independent sources, she's probably not as notable as you think and doesn't merit an article here. Note also that a list of random urls at the bottom is not in-line referencing. I am prepared to restore the text to a sandbox for you to improve if you want me to, but if you can't find any proper references, it may not be worth it Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:49, 30 December 2016 (UTC)
