Notice

The article Carbon Trends has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable new journal. Not indexed in any selective databases, no independent sources. Does not meet WP:NJournals or WP:GNG. Article creation way too soon.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Carbon Trends is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Ways to improve Carbon Trends(journal)

Hello, P977277,

Thank you for creating Carbon Trends(journal).

I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Speedy deletion nomination of Carbon Trends(journal)

[edit]

Hello P977277,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Carbon Trends(journal) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

I also understand if you prefer to not include the Carbon Trends (journal) page. But the page that collaborators wrote for wikipedia for Vincent Meunier using this account also disappeared. That page had been online for many years. Please unblock . P977277 (talk) 11:16, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your note. I read the conflict of interest page and I understand (and I agree with) the policy. I will refrain from doing anything that can be seen as "promotional". My plans are to provide more editing to technical areas related to my personal expertise of academic leadership and quantum materials. I will not create a page on "Carbon Trends" (a 2020 Elsevier journal) as I understand this can be seen as self-promotion. The other page created under my user name was created by a former student of mine from 10+ years ago who asked I load it under my name as she was not staying in the field. I would appreciate if you could unblock this account (the draft page on Carbon Trends will be deleted). Thanks for your consideration, P977277 (talk) 13:46, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

This account has been opened for many years and it is not used for promotion and advertising; I just included a recent page on a new journal I help founded in 2020. Please unblock me. P977277 (talk) 11:13, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

It's true that you didn't edit much with this account(two edits when you initially created it) but that's not relevant to your current promotional editing and violation of conflict of interest. Please tell what will change about your editing in the future. 331dot (talk) 13:28, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
