Hello

The photo of the calendar you posted on the Chinese calendar page looks like it could be interesting. Unfortunately, it is completely illegible. Could you re-post it with enough detail so we can read the numbers and characters? Otherwise it does not do much good. I also posted some comments on the calendar's talk page. Stone-turner (talk) 11:10, 30 January 2013 (UTC) It's a thumbnails in the page. if you click on it, you may get the clear numbers and characters.[reply]

It is a lot better now. I can read the day numbers enough to tell it is arranged by lunar months. But the small characters are still unreadable. Can you see them when you click on it? Stone-turner (talk) 06:39, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Chinese calendar, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Wuxing (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Graphic at Hebrew calendar

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for contributing that graphic. It's pretty cool. However, I think I'm going to revert it for the time being, and here's why: If you scroll down, you'll see that it slides a bunch of other graphics, tables and the like all the way down the page, far past the bottom of the rest of the article. In that sense it's disruptive. So I'd encourage you perhaps to sandbox the article, play around, and see if you can figure out how to incorporate the graphic without disrupting everything else going on. Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Chinese calendar may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:

Chinese days of the week

[edit]

Hi,

In the Names of the Days of the Week article, the subsection is listing the languages in which the days are numbered from Monday. In Standard Chinese, the days are numbered from Monday (not Sunday). Therefore, Tuesday always corresponds to Day 2 (星期二)

You can't really number something as 0 and then shove it under days numbering from Sunday, which you probably gathered from how the table was listed. In systems where days are numbered from Sunday, Tuesday always corresponds to Day 3.

Further, 星期天 is actually non-standard, and was started by Catholics or Christians in China. 星期日 is preferred

Chinese Wiki uses 星期日:

https://zh.wikipedia.org/wiki/星期日

Baike also uses 星期日: http://www.baike.com/wiki/星期日

星期日 yields 43,000,000 results in google search. Meanwhile, 星期天 yields far less, only 17,200,000 results

So, can we please get everyone on board to stop using 星期天, which is largely non-standard.

Roman calendar

[edit]

Thanks for your edits to the Roman calendar. However, you added three or four months to the Calendar of Romulus during the "winter" period which never existed, so I reverted them. I might support the addition of the Julian month lengths to the Roman Republican calendar for comparison, which are identical to the Gregorian month lengths. These cannot be added to the Calendar of Romulus because it had only ten months. — Joe Kress (talk) 19:48, 11 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
