21:40:42, 1 August 2016 review of submission by Kathleen.kennedy
Thank you for reviewing my submission and providing feedback. I've added more references to the submission as requested. Do you have any advice on how to make the submission read less like an essay, as you also indicated in your comments? Thanks again for the feedback and assistance.
Kathleen.kennedy (talk) 21:40, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Kathleen.kennedy: Hi, I'd start by fixing up the article in line with the WP:MOS, specifically WP:FORMATTING. You also should add WP:Section headings to the draft. When you've done that, I can give you some more advice on how to improve the page if you like. Omni Flames (talk) 22:35, 1 August 2016 (UTC)
AWB vs NPP
I was just trying to extend a bit of leniency. You're right of course though, and thanks for pointing out the error of my ways. If we get a consensus to oppose, we won;t need to worry about NPP at all. Cheers --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:26, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Kudpung: Okay, thanks for that. It looks like the consensus is swinging towards against regranting access anyway so you needn't worry to much. Omni Flames (talk) 21:50, 2 August 2016 (UTC)

No subject
Hi Omni Flames,
I submitted the Rebiotix Inc. entry. My apologies for coming as promotional. Certainly wasn't intended. I'm new to Wikipedia and wanted to put a reference in for Rebiotix because it's a unique company in my hometown which is really advancing the science and application of the human microbiome to the medical field. I tried to follow some other company-based pages like Gilead Science etc...of course, there is not as much information on Rebiotix as Gilead. If my submission was too promotional because of mentioning it doing the first of its kind clinical trial I was simply trying to emphasize that the uniqueness of the company is that its the first company I am aware of to work with the FDA to test a microbiota-based drug.
If you have any suggestions, let me know...or any ideas of how I can better improve my submission. I am happy to work to make it better and completely comply with the expectations of Wikipedia.
Travis
Talexanderyano (talk) 15:51, 2 August 2016 (UTC)
- @Talexanderyano: You shouldn't be trying to emphasize that the company is the first of it's kind and how unique it is. This is an encyclopedia, it's not a place for promotion. Entries are intended to give a summary of the subject in the most neutral tone possible. Words like "revolutionize" just make the article more promotional and should be used, and I have no idea why you bolded "was the first of it's kind conducted", but that definitely should not be done. Archiving ANI
Hi Omni Flames, please remember that threads on ANI need to stay visible for at least 24 hours after closing, in order to accommodate all time zones, sleep/wake schedules, and wiki log-in habits. The best and easiest way to refrain from too-early archiving is to Google utc time, subtract one day from that, and then avoid archiving anything that was closed later than that. Thanks very much. Softlavender (talk) 02:20, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
- I'm aware of that Softlavender, thank you very much. When I was archiving threads on ANI, I was very careful to make sure that all of them had been closed for at least 24 hours and that they seemed resolved. I deliberately ignored any threads that had been closed in the last day so that everyone who participated could easily see the result. Now, it's possible that I might have one or two mistakes in checking the time in UTC, but if that's true, I'd appreciate it if you provided diffs, rather than making a baseless accusation like that. Omni Flames (talk) 06:44, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
- Well, oops, you're absolutely right, and in my panic from seeing the board dip down to barely 10+ threads (it averages 30+ even when people are manually archiving), my mind miscalculated the one thread of yours I looked at. I just re-checked them all though, and you are right -- you've left a very wide leeway. Thanks, and I hope my post didn't offend you too much. :) Softlavender (talk) 09:41, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
- That's alright, Softlavender, a while back when I saw someone archiving a bunch of threads there too early I also panicked, so I can understand your concern. Omni Flames (talk) 09:47, 3 August 2016 (UTC)
- LOL. Funny how we get so concerned about this. :-) Softlavender (talk) 09:51, 3 August 2016 (UTC)

Marcelo Lehninger
Thanks for reviewing and approving my submission to Wikipedia: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Marcelo_Lehninger
I see it graded as start-class. I read over the grading page and examples, including the sample given as start-class and the next rating higher. The criteria for start-class emphasizes the need for good sources. But the example for start-class is short with few sources, and my bio on Marcelo Lehninger looks more like the next level up in size, sources and writing style.
Could you please elaborate on what I can do to raise my submission to the next level? Thanks very much.

- @Jkaczmarczyk: I've regraded it as C-class. Omni Flames (talk) 03:46, 30 July 2016 (UTC)
Thank you very much! I appreciate your taking the time and trouble to give it a second look.

I wonder why you wrote me a message on User talk:128.178.189.177 about deleted content whereas I only added content to the article that you mention?

- Sorry, my bad. Looks like I made a mistake there, as I wouldn't have reverted that on purpose. Thanks for finding my error. Omni Flames (talk) 08:56, 9 August 2016 (UTC)
