[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Mac Dreamstate. Your recent edit to the page Floyd Mayweather Jr. appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 12:59, 9 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Boxing records

[edit]

Greetings. Please read the section at MOS:BOXING/RECORD which pertains to how venues should be formatted and linked: "In general, if the article for a venue contains the city or state name in the title, use a pipe link to avoid redundancy". Mac Dreamstate (talk) 13:01, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Since you're trying to add title eliminators, again I point you to MOS:BOXING/RECORD, specifically the Notes guidelines: "Title eliminators should not be included, as most fights are for some kind of sanctioning body ranking, and eliminators do not always mean a guaranteed title opportunity." Mac Dreamstate (talk) 22:09, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And you're still doing it. I will point out that there is such a thing called consensus—if you have an issue with the guidelines, you could post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Boxing for feedback. Otherwise, re-adding the content without edit summaries isn't constructive. Will revert when you're done. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 22:13, 11 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And again, still including city names where they are redundant. I will revert you every time you do that. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 18:12, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Yet again, please read MOS:BOXING/RECORD where it says not to include states/provinces/counties for anywhere except the U.S. and Canada. Your edits are becoming really disruptive. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 12:37, 12 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Román González (boxer).

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Reverted you for the reason as always. No Mexican states—U.S. and Canada only. Mac Dreamstate (talk) 13:10, 20 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Deutschlandhalle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Westend. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Vin Scully, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page New York (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

I sympathize with your article renaming, but there was an RM discussion about that in November 2016. Probably the page shouldn't have been moved back without another RM. See Talk:Clem Grogan. —BarrelProof (talk) 03:19, 6 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Preview, consolidate, and summarize

[edit]

Hello- Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:

  • Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
    • The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
  • Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 01:34, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as User:Olivetree66, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
