Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Doukissis Plakentias metro station may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Athens Metro infobox - New template available

[edit]

Hi, you may find it better to use a new template I created called Template:Infobox_station/Header_OASA.

It display the headers in the style we already do, but it stops the Greek text from touching the top stripe, and you don't need to use the type field any more to show the bottom stripe. Usage instructions are in the template. Also, Line 4 isn't open yet so including the line's stripes isn't necessary until it opens. Okay, keep up the great work!

Station coordinates

[edit]

Please be careful with the coordinates in the Greek station articles you're working on. In some cases, such as Paiania–Kantza station and Pallini station, you've copied the coordinates of the Airport station and forgotten to change them to the coordinates of the stations that the articles deal with. Please slow down and add citations to the articles that you already created

[edit]

Hi Oh Yeaaahh. Welcome to Wikipedia! You have created many articles which have no source citations and which are likely not notable subjects. Please don't create any more articles until you can bring the ones that you already created up to our minimum inclusion standards. Continuing to add unsourced articles may be viewed as disruptive and could result in your editing privileges being revoked. Please let me know if you need any help or have any questions. - MrX 15:51, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Citation available for Metro station articles.

[edit]

Hello, I'm sorry that I've been busy today but feel free to add all the cultural works to the relevant metro stations. The citation syntax should be:

  • <ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.ametro.gr/page/?id=2374&la=2|title=AttikoMetro Inside - Works of Art|date=29 April 2013|publisher=Attiko Metro SA|accessdate=27 July 2013}}</ref>

By the way, MrX has been a bit concerned about the number of Proastiakos stations you have added without enough information or reliable citations, this is why it is important to cite your sources. The reason why Britain has covered almost every station is that there is plenty of information about the station, its history, notable events (where available) and transport connections.

Okay, see you soon! --Marianian(talk) 18:53, 27 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Elliniko station.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Elliniko station.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 16:14, 29 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please be more careful

[edit]

Hello, welcome, and thanks for your articles on Greek railway stations and settlements! However, please be mindful, when copying text and templates from one page to form the basis of a new one, to remove or change the relevant information that does not apply. For instance, you transferred most the main article body of Schimatari to the towns of Oinoi, Boeotia and Dilesi, Boeotia without checking if the same information applies. The twinned towns, 2001 population, "significant growth in industrial activities" were carried over wholesale, and you made an error in changing the "Schimatari municipal unit" to "Oinoi m.u." and "Dilesi m.u." in the respective pages, when it is clear that the latter belong to Schimatari. Please be more careful in your edits and make sure that such mistakes do not happen. Wikipedia is not only about quantity of articles, it is more about quality. Cheers, --Constantine 08:16, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The same goes for geographic coordinates, and templates dated 2010 which you have copy-pasted onto articles created over the past few days. You cannot expect others to clean up after you. BTW, είσαι Έλληνας; Constantine 09:45, 30 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Oh Yeaaahh: Adding my voice to Constantine's. You are copying to create your new articles without paying enough attention to changing the specifics; when you created the new article at Asklippio Voulas tram stop, you even copied the Articles for deletion template from SEF tram stop. You also need to add references to your articles, because all articles need to demonstrate that the topic is notable. Just copying an unreferenced article to create another unreferenced article is not a good idea. Yngvadottir (talk) 21:08, 31 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

And again at Asklippio Voulas tram stop where you created an article with an AfD template from another article. Can you please acknowledge that you have read these messages and that you understand the issues that have been raised? Flat Out let's discuss it 13:20, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it appears increasingly likely that we are dealing with an old acquaintance, Pumpie (talk · contribs), whose thousands of atrociously "translated" articles still litter this project. I was contacted a few days ago precisely on this possibility by Yngvadottir, who, along with myself and Markussep (talk · contribs), had the most interactions with him. Although this account is somewhat improved over Pumpie and lacks some of the latter's more characteristic editing quirks, the indiscriminate copy-pasting, focus on obscure Greek railway and locality articles, and, most importantly, persistent refusal to respond to concerns raised in the talk page, are very reminiscent of him. Even if Oh Yeaaahh is not Pumpie reincarnated, the same WP:COMPETENCE concerns certainly apply here as well. Constantine 19:54, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Uncanny. That's exactly what I was thinking when I asked this question at ANI a few days ago. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 11:14, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Anna, I notice that you left the welcome message so you might be watching this page. Is there any action that can be taken when an editor refuses to engage in discussion regarding problematic editing? Cheers Flat Out let's discuss it 07:04, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I wasn't watching before because I cleaned out my watchlist, but I am watching now. Thanks, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:07, 4 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Source verification

[edit]

Can you please explain where in this source you used as a reference it says that Livadeia railway station and Leianokladi railway station opened on 29 June 1904? Thank you. --Constantine 12:04, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Could you tell me why you reverted my edits to Oinoi railway station? The station is at the junction of the main line Piraeus-Platy and the branch line to Chalcis, and Tanagra is the next station in the direction of Thessaloniki (trains to Leianokladi and Larissa), just check the timetable. Markussep Talk 10:59, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I see you keep replacing the lines the stations are on by an OSE logo in the infobox, like for instance here for the Edessa railway station. As you can see in the documentation of the {{Infobox station}}, this field is meant for information about the services that serve the station. That logo (in this case of the company that owns the tracks) contains no information about these services. Don't you agree?
And another thing: I think it's nice that you add articles about Greek railway stations, but you're making far too many mistakes. For instance, nearly all the coordinates I checked were incorrect by a long distance (they were actually of other stations in Greece). The opening dates (you often claim the stations were opened in 2004 or 2009) can't be correct either, since the railway lines were actually opened in the 19th and early 20th century. Could you please be more careful in your editing, and use and quote reliable sources for your edits? Markussep Talk 09:28, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Station coordinates and opening (Thessaloniki-Florina line)

[edit]

Hi and good work. I appriceate the work you are doing about Greek railway stations but, As explained above, you may be more careful adding stations coordinates. For example, most of them of the line Thessaloniki-Florina has the same coord. Seeing it, coordinates refers to a station in northern Thessalia, between Larisa and Katerini, on the Athens-Thessaloniki line and far away from the line you're working about. Regards. --Dэя-Бøяg 15:06, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Just another question: The opening datas of the stations (25 January 2008) would refer to a re-opening of an existant line suppressed years ago and now operational again? Because as for this picture Veroia station seems to be older. By the way I also have on my PC the pictures of Vevi and Veroia stations, taken in 2002. In this case I suggest to fix the phrase in that way: The station reopened on 25 January 2008. Sorry for disturb and good work. --Dэя-Бøяg 15:42, 11 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Poseidonos station has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Future station for a future line which is still planned and whose funding future is uncertain at best.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
