The article Full chemical name of titin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}

Hidden
Why wouldn't we want to hide something that has no information on List of characters in the Hunger Games trilogy?? --Glimmer721 (talk) 16:16, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- Well, it's a list of characters, so I think even though we don't have information on those three characters, it would be a good idea to include them, simply because it is a list. Thanks, TEK (talk • e-mail) 19:00, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
User:TEK
I have deleted the redirects you created for User:TEK as that is not your user name, even if it the abbreviation that you choose to use. If you want to change your user name, please see Wikipedia:Changing username. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:05, 4 July 2010 (UTC)
- I am glad to see that you succeeded in getting your user name change. However, about the response you left to another editor about an insult they threw at me, please don't do that. Responding to such insults doesn't help the situation. Instead, you should just revert such comments and leave the editor an appropriate warning. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:47, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Thank you very much for signing up for the July Backlog Elimination Drive! The copyedit backlog stretches back two and a half years, all the way back to the beginning of 2008! We're really going to need all the help we can muster to get it down to a manageable number. We've ambitiously set a goal of clearing all of 2008 from the backlog this month. So once again, thanks for your support!--Diannaa TALK 22:30, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- I'm glad to join this project — it's a wonderful opportunity to improve this wiki, learn new things, and (honestly) get more edits ;-). What are those green, collapsible "Article list"s? Thanks, TEK (talk • e-mail) 22:49, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, we are keeping track of the articles we copy edit so we can win barnstars. Please read through the instructions and if you have any questions, let me know. --Diannaa TALK 22:59, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
You are now a Reviewer
Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.
Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.
For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.
If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. —DoRD (talk) 17:02, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

Thanks so much for participating. I'm being a busy-body and snooping around at work other people are doing, to avoid doing anything constructive myself. I noticed that you left double hyphens unchanged in one article, which I've corrected to en dashes here. You might find WP:MOSDASH helpful. Please ask if you need further information on this. Cheers. Make sure warnings match the deletion tags
FYI, you tagged VideoBoys for speedy deletion, but the notice you gave at User talk:Jeremyroddick indicated that the article was going through AfD discussion. Please make sure you give the right notifications when articles are up for deletion. In that case, it would have been {{nn-warn}}. Thanks! —C.Fred (talk) 00:27, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Request for adminship
Hi, TEK. Your request for adminship has been closed because of the community's consensus that you do not yet have enough experience. I recommend reading the opposes and gaining more experience before nominating again. You may wish to read Wikipedia:Guide to requests for adminship, which explains what the community often looks for in a candidate. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like any assistance. And please be comforted that not passing a request for adminship (which happens to many people) is in no way a bad reflection on your editing - just a judgement that you need more experience before becoming an administrator. --Mkativerata (talk) 19:36, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

GOCE Newsletter
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors Backlog Elimination Drive! We have now passed the halfway point, so here's an update. Progress Report - Progress toward the targets has been good. 751 articles out of the approximately 1,600 we would like to get completed by the end of the month were done by July 15, so we will be very close to meeting the target for volume. However, we would like to clear all of the 2008 articles from the backlog, and there are still 892 left to do. Please consider choosing one of these older articles when looking for something to copy edit. If we focus our firepower we can completely wipe out 2008 from the queue. Participation Report - 95 people signed up for the July drive. This is a great result compared to May, when we had 36. However, in May only one person that signed up didn't do any copy edits, and in July only 59 of the 95 have posted any copy edits on the big board. The task may seem insurmountable but please remember that if all 95 participants copy edit just one article a day from now until the end of the month, we will eliminate 1,300 more articles from the backlog. So please consider participating at whatever level you can! All contributions are appreciated. This newsletter was prepared for the GOCE by Diannaa (Talk), S Masters (talk), and The Raptor Let's talk. |
Moving pages
Hi, please do not move pages to different names without first consulting the Wikipedia Naming Conventions and any discussions that may have happened on the article talk page. This is especially important for prominent articles like Ulan Bator. If you have any questions as to what the naming conventions actually mean, feel free to ask. Thanks for your understanding. --Latebird (talk) 12:58, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Edit warring at List of Airbus A380 orders and deliveries
You've been reported for edit warring at WP:AN3#User:TEK reported by User:Ihgyqxfs (Result: ). If you respond at the noticeboard and promise to stop warring on this article, you may be able to avoid sanctions. Though your opponent is a brand-new account, and that might cause suspicion, it does not excuse your behavior. Your reports at AIV and SPI seem hostile since you have no sock data, and the editor's behavior is clearly not vandalism. The majority opinion on the article talk appears to be leaning in his favor. If admins take action, they may easily block both of you. You've broken the WP:3RR rule, but you still have a chance to be excused if you can respond promptly. well, I am chinese, but my language skills are kinda shabby. i just put it through google translation, which is not perfect, but since i have free time, i'm going to go back in the next few days and fix all the errors. glad i could help.
The article Baoding Railway Station has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Unencyclopaidic, story in Chinese, went to PNT and no effort to translate. Vaguely notable but delete and let someone else do better.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Si Trew (talk) 23:21, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Please accept my apology if you were in the process of translating the whole article. I found that the topic was worthy of inclusion, but it couldn't linger at PNT. -- Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 23:36, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Rollback
Hello, per your request, I've granted you Rollback rights! Just remember:
- Rollback gives you access to certain scripts, including Huggle and Igloo, some of which can be very powerful, so exercise caution
- Rollback is only for blatant vandalism
- Having Rollback rights does not give you any special status or authority
- Misuse of Rollback can lead to its removal by any administrator
- Please read Help:Reverting and Wikipedia:Rollback feature to get to know the workings of the feature
- You can test Rollback at Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback
- You may wish to display the {{User wikipedia/rollback}} userbox and/or the {{Rollback}} top icon on your user page
- If you have any questions, please do let me know.
--I was hoping you;d apply again soon! :) Just be careful and you should be fine. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 23:55, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Re:Huggle
I noticed you want to download Huggle. This is good; Huggle is a very effective anti-vandalism tool. To download it, simply follow the instructions on this page. If you're still having troubles, let me know. The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 00:13, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- I noticed, that for users warned before, Huggle still uses level 1 warning. Is there anything I can do? TEK (talk • e-mail) 00:19, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- If someone delivers a level one warning with Twinkle, Huggle will issue a level two warning. But if somebody warns the vandals manually without any automated program, that's when Huggle may issue just a level one warning. If you select options you can choose what type of warning you would like to issue. I hope this helps. The Raptor Let's talk/My mistakes; I mean, er, contributions 00:23, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- I think the program also resets the warning levels after a certain amount of time (at least that's what igloo does). That helps prevent the program leave, for example, a level-4 warning on a page when the last level three was a month ago. Airplaneman ✈ 02:01, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Another HJ stalker; confirming what Airplaneman said: the warnings reset after a(n unknown to me) time. Also, it should detect manual template warnings, but not handwritten (or whatever you call that) warnings. dffgd talk·edits 02:21, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Concerning "The Muppets Meet Harold Lloyd"
An edit I made to A Muppets Christmas: Letters to Santa has been reverted repeatedly; a vandal changed the page so that it claimed that the next muppet film was "The Muppets Meet Harold Lloyd". The said film is "The Greatest Muppet Movie of all time!" Jason Segel has said that repeatedly. Why has my edit been reverted? 67.250.89.3 (talk) 12:15, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry! After more research, yes, the next movie is indeed The Greatest Muppet Movie of All Time. I sincerely apologize for that. Hope you understand. Thanks, TEK (talk • e-mail) 13:50, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
How is unconstructive?
Come on. Why don't you explain to me instead of hiding behind templated messages? Why is it not constructive? I added the word 'the' to the article, so I'm warned for it. I then ask the warner what is wrong with that and then you do the same for my request which is nonsense. You tell me what is wrong, or I don't know what the hell is going on. Respectfully.--Mollythecoolgirl (talk) 16:13, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- My apologies. There appears to have been a confusion here, since an earlier editor repeatedly inserted "the block of cheese" into the article. It's all fixed now, but still, "At least 80 people are the confirmed dead" is not grammatically correct. Thanks, TEK (talk • e-mail) 16:17, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- I have commented on Molly's page, and will do so here. My intent was to revert the block of cheese stuff as vandalism, not the word 'the' which came in just as I clicked. I would have reverted 'the' as a good faith edit. However Molly's tone on my talkpage was a bit on the harsh side, and frankly I thank TEK for removing it. I have struck the warning on Molly's page. Time to move on. Jusdafax 16:27, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Why do you have the misconception that I am vandalising Wikipedia? I changed one word to make the article seem more neutral; it was implying a biased POV. Furthermore, you have given no explanation when asked by me, and therefore I ask you to explain to me what you implicate. Many Thanks. --92.20.213.74 (talk) 16:13, 30 July 2010 (UTC)
- No offence, but the circumstances of which this occured were not exactly occupation (the intervention was supported by the people, of which I am also from Junagadh). I would trust that you do not have an ulterior motive to develop Wikipedia to become one of the extremist anti-India propoganda sites such as RupeeNews and IslamabadGlobe? --92.20.213.74 (talk) 16:20, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Undid your reversion
Hi, TEK. Please note that I undid your reversion of my edits on the Lottery page (one week ago). As noted in the revision history, your reversion was much too speedy and had no explanation. The edits I contributed were complex and careful; it would not be possible to review them so quickly (the time stamp indicated just one minute). Even if this were possible, though, it would be good practice to explain your reasons for reverting. I made a sincere effort to add valuable improvements to the article but I am always open to critique. If you would like to discuss, I would be happy to explain the thinking behind my changes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.52.195.36 (talk) 09:14, 1 August 2010 (UTC)

GOCE Backlog Elimination Drive Wrap-up
Greetings from the Guild of Copy Editors July 2010 Backlog Elimination Drive. Thanks to all who participated in the drive! Over 100 editors—including Jimbo Wales—signed up this time (nearly triple the participants of the May drive). This benefited the Guild as well as the articles in need of copy editing. You can see from the comparison graphs that we increased the number of completed copyedits substantially. Unfortunately, we were not able to meet our goal of completely wiping out 2008 from the queue. We also were not able to reduce the backlog to less than 6,000 articles. We suspect people were busy with real life summertime things, at least in the northern hemisphere! We were able to remove the months of January, February, March, April, and May from the backlog, and we almost wiped out the month of June. We reduced the backlog by 1,289 articles (17%), so all in all it was a very successful drive, and we will be holding another event soon. We'll come up with some new ideas to try to keep things fresh and interesting. Keep up the good work, everybody!

I thought I'd message you here about this. Diannaa doesn't think you should be a co-coordinator, so I wouldn't label yourself as one on the drive page just yet. GOCE drive decisions
Hi, we need to close the discussions on the GOCE drive soon and make our final decisions on the mechanics of the drive. In particular, we need to decide on the rollover rules. I have also noticed that the lifetime totals have already been implemented. This might be problematic for us in calculating any rollover credits as this number lumps together the totals of all drives. We need to send the newsletter out by 14 or 15 August (roughly 2 weeks before the next drive starts). Would appreciate your comments and votes (either way), as I want to close off all current discussions and archive them before we start inviting 300+ editors to participate. Censorship
I was reading your post on Oda's site and you guys decided to again delete the China to Korea, then to Japan historical relationship again, because you thought it was copy and paste of a book still in copy right status, but when I look at the old information they were Quotes from the book with references, are Quotes not allowed?, I didn't pay close attention to who deleted the Korea section again (not sure if it was you), there seems to be some sort of tag team with Nihonjoe and Oda Mari (so I just stop caring as much), but anyways, are quotes not allowed? --165.214.4.21 (talk) 22:41, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

I also had a question (always fun) about your username. Is it a reference to Ocean Shores in Washington state? I've been there a few times and it's lovely. --- cymru lass (hit me up)⁄(background check) 18:54, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
- You're welcome! When I created my username I didn't have any of that in mind. I just thought that it sounded good. And then, after a while, I found out that a private housing development in Hong Kong also shared the same name. Thanks for telling me! Ocean Shores 21:34, 15 August 2010 (UTC)
Newsletters
Hi, thanks for the update, but could you please consider sending the newsletters as collapsible templates like this, in the way that most other projects do? (I have made the suggestion before). Thanks.--Kudpung (talk) 00:51, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned I've never walked across one of those before. Ocean Shores 01:52, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
- Perhaps then you could transmit the concern to those who do take the occasional wade. I'm ony pointing this out because I was drowned with complaints about the first newsletter I sent a long time ago., and I can understand their point of view. --Kudpung (talk) 02:09, 16 August 2010 (UTC)

Looks like I'm back...
God in Heaven, what a mess. I still need to get that YouTube issue resolved, but at least I have some info which will shut this yahoo down. Thanks for your kind thoughts and sorry about the overreaction. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:05, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
Thanks. :) Looks like all the really good folks are online. Nice to be back; sorry again for overreacting. With any luck, I might be able to put a stop to this person. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 15:16, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
User:ST47/test
Um, not quite sure what is going on with User:ST47/test, but the IP bot-like edits keep popping up in recent changes, causing some concerns... Chzz ► 21:54, 16 August 2010 (UTC)
- They're almost certainly people running the test suite for MediaWiki::Bot when installing, or automated smoke testers. Nothing to see here, but please stop reverting them, it makes the tests fail :) –

- Me? I didn't. Pretty sure I have not edited that page.
- I saw it involved you, Mike, so I just asked; but other new-page-patrolling people will not... they will see an ip making lots of bot-like edits; they'll jump on it.
- I looked at it, found the links to you, and therefore didn't report it or anything, but asked here instead. Chzz ► 04:22, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
