Trowbridge Park
Marquette Township, Marquette County, Michigan has the information about Trowbridge Park, Michigan already, except the 20-year-old demographics. The population, size, elevation, transportation, etc. is all there, so I'm left wondering, what's the point in keeping a separate article on the CDP? Unlike the other CDPs in the county, Trowbridge Park doesn't have an entry in Walter Romig's excellent book on the history of the place names in Michigan, and it never had its own post office. If the only reason it has an article is that the Census Bureau releases some statistics about it, then I guess I don't see a point in not merging them, and I wonder if the CDP itself passes WP:GNG. Imzadi 1979 → 18:49, 6 June 2020 (UTC)
- Also, there is precedent for merging a CDP to another article: K. I. Sawyer AFB, Michigan redirects to K. I. Sawyer Air Force Base. The former is the name of a CDP for the residential areas of the former base here in Marquette County. Imzadi 1979 → 02:24, 7 June 2020 (UTC)
- All 159 census-designated places in Michigan have had their own articles for quite some time, even if some are extremely outdated and lacking of any information other than demographics. In my opinion, being defined by the U.S. Census Bureau makes the community notable, as does having a FIPS code and GNIS feature ID (in which CDPs are specifically listed as a type of place name). While Trowbridge Park has no post office of its own, many CDPs also lack a post office bearing their name. Trowbridge Park has its own defined area and population statistics that are not identical to the township itself, even if they are also included in the township; the same can apply for villages. It is easy to say that Holt might be more important than Crystal Downs Country Club, but they both fall under the same definition. If the Trowbridge Park article is determined to be insignificant, it sets a bad precedence when it comes to determining what CDPs and unincorporated communities are notable and which ones are not. I have never seen a Michigan discussion where there is a consensus defining "what counts as an unincorporated community" and "what makes an unincorporated community notable enough for its own article." The K. I. Sawyer Air Force Base is an unusual CDP, as the CDP itself was redrawn in 2010 and is not identical or conterminous with the Air Force Base. The article makes little mention of the current community itself. In fact, the boundary map that I added to the K.I. Sawyer article a long time ago is also outdated. It reflect the boundaries of the CDP in 2000 and not 2010. I have not made my way back to Marquette County to make the corrected updates. The Bay View CDP is also another anomaly, as the article discusses Bay View as mostly a NRHP listing with no demographic information. Many CDP articles need to be updated, which probably will not happen until after 2020 census data is made available. —Notorious4life (talk) 03:53, 7 June 2020 (UTC)

Mackinac County, Indiana
You reverted an update on this county page w/o reason. I am re-installing it, because many small communities need to be added, the county officials need to be updated, and several small cleanups should be made to the article. You said the update was NOT standard format. Unfortunately, there is no one "standard", but the revised layout is in conformance with most other Indiana county layouts. If you still feel the need to reject this update, please confine yourself to only those changes which are most galling to you, and leave the rest for their updated information. Thanks in advance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.2.245.211 (talk) 01:12, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Lansing boundaries
Appreciate the new map graphic for Ingham County. Something I rarely see is that though the maps take into account the conditional annexations by Lansing which have happened in Ingham and Eaton counties, none of them seem to take into account the huge conditional annexation of the airport and surrounding lands in Clinton County that happened way back in 2011. Here is a map from DeWitt Township showing what Lansing annex in the county. Another map below:
Is it possible to add this to the various Lansing graphics showing its boundaries? --Criticalthinker (talk) 06:12, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
- Oh, no, the entire shaded area are the new boundaries. The little part outlined in orange is simply to show that this is technically two different 425 Agreements; they have slightly different requirements and obligations for the city and township. --Criticalthinker (talk) 02:38, 23 December 2020 (UTC)
